Is the Abingdon game being played in full pads or flag?

I'm new to this message board, but is the week leading up to this game the part where we share inside information to allow the teams to better prepare? I'll get the ball rolling for GC: From a trusted source inside the field house, our coaches will be changing things up (They fear being too predictable during this rematch). Most of our starters will be changing positions (Herron will be at RT) and we'll be using the same offensive playbook and script that VT used against Wake yesterday. Defensively, we'll be in the Prevent exclusively, with no stunts, blitzes, or pressure, just to be safe. Can any of you Blues fans close to the team share any info regarding Coach Mance's gameplan?

Absolutely, great to hear he is well. On a lighter note, apparently an ice shortage is being reported by truckers on CB Channel 19 at both the Flying J and Sheetz on the I-81 corridor. This shortage correlates to stops by the Buckingham County charter bus, apparently the Knights are a bit sore...

Score comparison is tough to use with this one - in that vein, Richlands beat Bluefield, which GC lost to by a big margin (Score-wise). As a Blue Devil, I'll take GC in a close one, but it's really about the team that limits errors (Or capitalizes on them). Should be a great ballgame.

I agree, but that's my point: GC wouldn't field a team that would act that way. Coaches wouldn't allow a team with the attitudes and lack of discipline we saw today. Any GC coach or future GC coaches that did allow it would be run out of town by the fan base. A proud, storied program will not allow the actions of a few to destroy the work of many.

You can tell alot about a program from the way their players and fans conduct themselves. GC is # 3 winningest program in Virginia (1A-6A) since 1970. By contrast, Buckingham County is #130 - this was evident today. Realize all schools have their bad apples (Including GC).

I've noticed a trend of ejections, personal fouls, and dirty play when a team of athletes run in to an un-athletic buzzsaw...this is the norm.

Proud of the Devils today and look forward to seeing the Blues come to town next week, will be a great game from programs with mutual respect.
