  1. Abingdon has 47 on the roster, which is down from previous years.
  2. It depends how many players the visiting team has as to if they get 1 or 2 parent tickets for visitors. It all depends on how many total "spectators" are in the stadium. I would think JSB would have definitely been able to bring 2 per athlete, which would be 34 plus a couple administrators. In terms of football, I was very impressed with JSB and how well they executed what they wanted to do. Pretty dominating performance, even though the scoreboard didn't show that.
  3. I found this article very interesting. I hate it for him, he seems like a very good man from the article. I’m interested to hear Richlands thoughts? https://heraldcourier.com/sports/vhsl-ronnie-davis-resigns-as-head-softball-coach-at-richlands-will-serve-as-assistant-football/article_5e7bd57c-d855-11ea-ae52-77574a0bd419.amp.html?__twitter_impression=true
  4. Washington County SB approved half of the students going to school on Monday and Tuesday, and the other half going on Thursday and Friday. Wednesday will be used as a deep cleaning day in between the two groups. Students will be able to participate in athletics each day due to the other days being provided instruction virtually. With that said, fall sports aren't looking so promising right now.
  5. I would imagine that each division will be sending this off as quickly as possible. If I had to guess, and this is completely a guess, I would say practices will start on Monday, 6/22 for most.
  6. VHSL announced that practices could start on Monday, 6/15 as long as the school division has sent the required info to VDOE. Fall sports are a go as of now it seems!

  8. What is frustrating is knowing that JSB is a couple plays away from being 3-1. With that said, this game wasn't going to be very competitive no matter who was on the field for JSB. I give props to Coach Palmer and his staff at PH for building a program, but high school athletics runs in cycles. I look forward to JSB making this a competitive series again in the near future. I have complete confidence in Coach Ricker and his staff to get the program going back in the right direction.
  9. I have a pretty good feeling that PH will have something to say about that statement this year. I would be shocked if they don't give them a real fight.

  11. One thing Reed knew how to do at AHS was run off his assistant coaches. He couldn’t find anyone to work for him.
  12. I didn’t claim to know “so much” about VHS baseball, but I just figured I would bring you off your high horse. I would like to hear the teams that you think 5 VHS bench players could start for. By the way, I agree with your assessment of AHS in relation to the playoffs. I will call that we beat the Cats twice though.
  13. No disrespect to VHS, but they aren’t that good. They do not have 5 kids that won’t start that could start for the teams making it to the region tournament. I’m telling you right now, you better watch out for Tazewell. I’m calling they win the SW District.
