I like it. I'm not sure why 1D didn't do a 6 team tournament. 2 from each district is the perfect setup IMO.

Oh yeah I hate it. Even with going back to districts every single school in certain districts will make the region tournament. The best format IMO was pre-08. It actually meant something to make the Region tournament back then.

I saw on the VHSL website that it's going back to districts and Regions A-D for next year.

You'd be hard pressed to say we actually have a basketball dynasty in SWVA. From the early 90s until the mid 2000s Twin Springs made state tournament appearances almost every year, but with only one title I don't think you could even call that a dynasty.
