  1. Chilhowie boys drop their first game of the year at Castlewood. 55-57 OT
  2. Congrats to the Riverheads. Warriors, you have nothing to be ashamed of. You have accomplished so much in the last 2 years. Keep your heads up and be proud.
  3. Good luck to the Graham G-men. Enjoy the the day and leave everything on the field. Leave the field with no regrets. Play hard, be safe, and bring that title back to SWVA.
  4. You can also listen online at http://espn1240theboss.com/?fbclid=IwAR12gP9wE9A25sWr5ZdmhS92x082JCbXLNebQMh8EJQ1uX9dKC2adkchAGQ
  5. Both games. At least that was what it was last year.
  6. From your analogy, I guess the Warriors are glad RH don't have much of a passing game. Since that's what can beat them so you say.
  7. They will be. You do remember Alabama going down 2 years ago.
  8. So what's he saying about Saturday in Salem?
  9. I agree. It is sad how a few can make a community look bad but all in all most of the fans in this community just want to support the players. I just want people to know that this is all about the team and to look over the petty stuff from past weeks. The ones that make the most noise are usually the ones that don't even have a dog in the fight. Let's just bring 2 state titles back to SWVA.
  10. It wasn't everyone because the Warriors have a lot of fans. I for one didn't care where they played so I didn't do any whining. Or did I act childish. And it wasn't their whole fan base. I understand what a few bad apples do but the way things are worded should be thought of before accusing everyone.
  11. I believe Chilhowie will give them a good run for their money. I also think it will come down to turnovers. Warriors will slow the Gladiators down but not completely stop them. The same for the Gladiators. Chilhowie wins close. 22-21
  12. I guess that passing attack theory didn't pan out.
  13. I wish that was true here...however I think it most from around the county will support the Warriors. I for one would pull anyone in the area to do good and to pull out a win. But you have some that can't put away childish rivalries away for the better of sportmanship and surrounding communities.
  14. That's what most are overlooking. The players themselves could care less where they play at. The kids aren't the ones that made the calls or whined about going to Emory. So of course they may have some concerns or a bit of nerves but what young player wouldn't. But they aren't afraid or worried, they are confident in their skills and they know they can play great ball. It's people that don't play making a big deal out of the move.
  15. Now that VHSL has done this, they have opened Pandora's box. They should stick to their decision after inspection.
  16. Intense county rivalry.
  17. Hopefully the whole community isn't judge by a couple of over hyped ranting of a few people. Some have legitimate opinions but some just blow it way out of proportion. As for me, as a Warrior fan and parent, it doesn't matter where it is played. I feel Chilhowie will win either place. I'm sure the seniors would have like to have known that last week was the last time that they would be playing in Warrior stadium. It would have probably made that win must more sweeter. But ever community has those over the top ranters. I know it was VHSL decision but I sure, after hearing about the field and seeing pictures, there were some calls for concern made. But I'm not going as far to say it was another community that caused the decision.
  18. https://radio.alltrack.org/chilhowie-football-radio-online I have heard that it has had its issues. That's the only way I know to listen.
  19. Which semi-final match up is the most intriguing to you? Also with the field condition talk going on this year in the playoffs, how do feel about moving the games to different locations? Do you feel that it gives up some of the home field advantage?
  20. I do believe that every team that Chilhowie played this year, except for a couple of team, had a passing attack and Chilhowie won. I would say that the pass defense is a dent in their armor but it won't lose it for them. They get after the qb and don't give him much time to throw. The game is being held in Chilhowie.
