I think it’s clear that Va High and GC are the class of 2D Below that you have Union, Graham and Central…Lebanon at full strength probably here but they have been sandblasted the last couple games against upper level teams.

Lebanon threw the ball a ton this year….probably more than Richlands.

Honaker girls almost beat Carroll not boys. Honaker boys are 4-4 but have played a brutal schedule.

It’s not like there’s a bunch of schools within distance of Wise, and Wise doesn’t have the draw that Bristol does in terms of hosting schools from way out of town etc. More Kentucky schools would be good, I know Letcher came a few years ago I agree that you don’t want to play a team 3-4 times a year, that’s definitely the drawback, but it’s a good chance for local kids to play in a nice facility in a tournament setting.

Probably blasphemy on my part but I think Lebanon’s gym the best in the area, especially after they redid the lights. Va High is so dark and the crowd seems far away. The Hot Box is a fun atmosphere but too cramped

In A ball Honaker, Patrick Henry and Chilhowie appear to be the cream of the crop with Grundy probably just below. Cumberland is down this year-but the Hogo looks strong as ever

For all of the “Air Raid” talk, that high flying passing offense of Honaker’s depended an awful lot on Lowe running the ball in the playoffs.
