  1. Most of these schools, like on the West Virginia side, utilize soccer players as their punters and placekickers. It would work in Virginia too. Baseball number would shoot up most likely.
  2. Saw on several Facebook posts and comments that the Tazewell field project was approved by the VDEQ. Work should begin soon, never saw a date posted.
  3. Ive heard that Tazewell will be taking part in scrimmages in Kentucky against two different schools. No idea on Richlands or Graham.
  4. Heard there was a work stoppage at the Graham site, which is now pushing back the start time for Tazewell's project. Can anyone confirm. Something with DEQ.
  5. Kelly green is so difficult to match up, whether its clothing or paint. I would like to see the wooden bleachers get replaced with metal ones.
  6. Mitchell Stadium, despite its history and popularity contest victory, has always been a money pit for Graham and TCPS. Graham could have already had a stadium but they just had to play up there. They arent even the first pick for games. Its Bluefield High School's stadium. It's like living in the same house with woman whose previous husband lived there, never does feel like yours. They always had the perfect setup at the high school but never built it. Play the Beaver/Graham game at Mitchell and have your own home stadium.
  7. Until I see his name submitted by Graham to the school board, I would bet money he would be returning to Richlands. The timing is too coincidental.
  8. All I keep hearing is Reece. Father-Son duo.
  9. Do you mean us as in the Greater Surrounding Bluefield area? Or just homegrown Bluefield, VA talent? Just needing the clarification.
  10. Then I will just camp out on school property lol. I get the frustration but its not a program rule, its a county rule. So Richlands, Graham, and Tazewell all have to abide by it. We cant even use cowbells anymore. BTW had the perfect dirty joke to that response
  11. 1. Graham. The arrogance, the recruiting, the facilities, the colors, the name, the t-shirts, the band, the love for them on here, etc, etc. Red Sox fans hate everything Yankees, so I will hate everything Graham. 2. Wise Central. Terrible name for school and nickname, the drive sucks, the fans, field is nice tho. 3. Giles. The offense and the train horn. I don't mind Union's train horn bc they havent complained about it for almost the entire 2023 season. Honorable Mentions: Richlands- Personal Reasons. Any school that has a terrible drive, especially over the mountains and thru the woods. (Buchanan County, Ridgeview, McDowell County) Cant wait to hear the hate back for having an opinion.
  12. I see no lies in this post.
  13. This right here. RG3 won the Heisman and played in the Alamo Bowl. Johnny Manziel won it and didn't play for a natty. Hell Tim Tebow won the Heisman in a season where he didn't win the natty. Chuck Howley won Super Bowl V MVP and the Cowboys lost. Creasy should have won offensive player of the year, but politics. Palmer just needs his accolades for recruiting purposes, and he got called on it. Never should an individual award be decided by a team either. By that logic, Creasy could of had the game of his life and still lost, but it would go to Edwards, even if he had multiple fumbles, minimal yards, and no touchdowns simply bc his team finished further. Edwards was all but no factor in the playoffs, it was all Clements.
  14. Brad Robbins? Can’t we just use names? And it would be a good hire and good build for his resume’.
  15. Over/Under 10 penalties, 100 penalty yards for the G-men. Any takers.
  16. First off, why would you want your QB throwing 45 yard bombs into double coverage? Secondly, why is arm talent, and by your previous post you are referring to arm strength Mel Kiper, Jr, the standard by which you measure QB's? You know who had great arm talents. JaMarcus Russell and Ryan Leaf. Both could throw the ball further than Uncle Rico in the rain. How'd that arm talent work out for them? Today's game is mostly the screen game, that's why the Running Back market has dwindled in pay. Why would you not want your best athletes to have the ball in space?
  17. I'm with the six. Maybe make it like the NFL playoffs and give the top seeds bye weeks. But for everyone arguing too many classes, too many teams in the playoffs has to remember that the VHSL makes bank off these games and money will always overrule. You're more likely to get more teams and games than less, since that would be less money.
  18. This has to be a Graham coach, and I’d bet money it was Tony Palmer, himself. I would hate to be your quarterback now seeing as how Graham still tries to recruit them. Instead of “if you can’t beat ‘em, join em”, it’s “They can’t beat us if they are with us”. That’s cast, as you say. Graham only wants Tazewell to win so they don’t have to play Union again.
  19. After last week's close call, I think Honaker comes out and makes a statement that Region 1D runs through Fuller Field. I think Honaker big and its out of hand by halftime. 56-14 or something like that.
  20. Give me Alvin Mack and Lance Harbor. Both with working ACLs and no leg injuries. Also heard Tweeder was going to Tazewell to beef up stats with their pass-happy game plan, Already been voted President of the FFA too.
  21. Usually the transfer talk doesn't start until after the season is over, but with one more week in the regular season, this is crazy. Recruiting has no offseason.
  22. According to Four Seasons, 2014. Streaks always come to an end tho and I know that Graham is the darling of this board. Every season and team is different tho. Like I said, Graham is expected to win so give me Tazewell for pure chaos.
