  1. Did anyone see the Abingdon, Va High, Bluefield scrimmage?
  2. From the NFHS 2017 rules book..... Rule Change POP-UP KICK RULES 2-24-10 (NEW); 6-1-11 (NEW); 6-1 PENALTY (NEW) A pop-up kick is a free kick in which the kicker drives the ball immediately to the ground, the ball strikes the ground once and goes into the air in the manner of a ball kicked directly off the tee. Such kicks will be penalized as a dead-ball foul.
  3. "You see the Stadium and the Casino...the blue circle is the strip club. WVSSAC officials stat at the hotel with access to both the casino and strip club..." and for ths very reason the WV football finals will never leave Wheeling. The SSAC members spend Tuesday night through Saturday night. Inspections must be performed on Wednesday and Thursday in prep for the games Friday and Saturday. ?
  4. So, when your second teamers and under classmen get a chance to play, the coach should tell them to not play hard? You are way off here Hucklebuck! Continue to pout over getting beat, but then beat your chest when you win. You sir need to take a look at the reality that you are a sore loser.
  5. "You would have to be the biggest joker to think a coach on the coaching staff would print off what a bunch of buffoons on a message board says about their team and put it up in a locker room. They could give to rats butts what we think on here. This is for sheer amusement for us." True that....
  6. Throw the speculation out! How many times has bluefield or graham been favored the last 30yrs and the other team won? Think about 06 and 08... From a Beaver fan, this rivalry is the ultimate!!
  7. I would also guess it has to do with facilities in the beginning. Mitchell Stadium was a premier stadium when it saw its first games in 1937 ( I think), and saw the likes of WVU vs VT, Marshall vs VT, and VMI vs VT in the 50s. Bluefield was the "big city" of that era with a population of 22-24 thousand and was the hub of the coal industry when it was booming.

  9. How do you see Bluefield as "A" when their enrollment is 705?
  10. after a long rant on pulaski s prejudice nature, i decided to delete..... not worth stooping to that level
  11. i have no love for graham, but they are on the right track, building from the ground up. size is not the deciding factor. fundamentals! blocking and tackling. and then the intangible is the commitment of the players and coaching staff. i like the comment rome wasnt built in a day... it may not surface this year or next... but with the commitment of the program and community, the positives are the measuring stick instead of the negatives. im a beaver, but hope to see the pride build at graham.
  12. why do ppl from VA think Bluefield is single-A? is it because they are ignorant to the fact that wv classification is based on enrollment in GRADES 9-11, NOT 9-12 AS IN VA?? WV classification for Bluefield is at around 550 for grades 9-11. Approximate 9-12 enrollment is 700-750, about the same size as Va High. Richlands is about 800.
