Another fun night across the region saw the Falcons fly high and those Titans get their first W of the year. Our Pickers hit at 51.5% this week with the Locks coming in at 20%. No one liked Oak Hill nor Castlewood and its a good thing as everyone chose the Bluefield and Burton pick correctly. Fort Chiswell was the trickster of the evening as no one picked them to win. Which games are on Thursday this week in SWVa?

Well it was a struggle to say the least this week. If it was easy everyone would do it. Pickers hit at a 37.2% rate and locks were even less stellar at 18.2%. Pickers for the year are still hitting a shade above half at 53%. It reminds me when I took Organic Chemistry 2 during summer school. Every structure the professor would draw I thought looked like a bird house. I got a 35 on the test but luckily 90 percent of the class did even worse so he gave me a "B". UVA Observer screwed your guys curve going 10-5, while Pack Nation held his own at 9-6. The rest of the names, like Voldemorts, will not be mentioned. It was a crazy week of football across the region. Gate City made a mad comeback to only end up falling short as time expired, but not if you took the points. UVA Observer was the lone pick that had faith in Gate City. Castlewood and Burton were the biggest flops of the week as no one chose Twin Springs and only 3 brave souls chose Honaker. Abingdon and Patrick Henry pickers were perfect again as all 15 got those games correct. This week everyone combined for 57.2% correct picks and the Locks of the week hit at a 40% rate. Hokie101 showed he needs to teach SWVA football 101 as he went 9-3 and was the top picker this week. HUH you got a lock of the week?

Solid week this week as you all hit on 64.4% of your picks!!! Chilhowie was my goof of the week as I meant to put them as a 10 point favorite, not the underdog. Chipinbogey caught that early lol and I still didn't see I had put them as an underdog til later on. To answer Bigwinners I saw Union winning I figured somewhere between 10 to 17 range. Bigger school doesn't beat quality players. I don't play the depth card too often in high school bc it seems like these kids never get tired. Central I had pegged as about a 20 point dog and figured homecoming would give them a little more to fight for. Didn't happen. Best consensus pick of the week were Abingdon -15 and Patrick Henry -21. Everyone got those two games correct. The most missed games were Gate City +44 and Eastside +14. 20% got the Gate City game and 33.3% picked Eastside correctly.
