Bluefield_Rules 46 Report Share Posted September 17, 2009 Running Lilly up the middle isn't going to work tonight. The offense is going to have to get creative if they want to move the football.

Bluefield_Rules 46 Report Share Posted September 17, 2009 The bigger issue is the injury to Beckett...
Bulldogs52 482 Author Report Share Posted September 17, 2009 Yes, they have two injured, and they couldn't put the long gain into the endzone.

Bluefield_Rules 46 Report Share Posted September 17, 2009 (edited) Thoughts on the second half, if we don't close the gap before half should we play the JV in the second half? THe ultimate goal is still well within reach, this game isn't worth risking more injuries in my opinion. bhs7695 185 Report Share Posted September 17, 2009 Injuries are part of the game. You don't back off no matter who you play. It's not a good example for your players going forward.

True that, and you don't want your starters thinking that you gave up on them!
Bluefield_Rules 46 Report Share Posted September 18, 2009 If you lose key players to serious injury there won't be much to look forward to. I agree, you don't back off and I didn't say back off. However, giving the younger kids an opportunity to play some significant minutes would be of benefit for the future. The game isn't out of reach completely at this point, but the offense has shown no signs of life and now you're starting QB appears to be done for the night. Give a chance early in the second half, but if things continue as they are I believe you give the younger kids an opportunity to gain some experience and live to fight another day. beaverbaseball 10 Report Share Posted September 18, 2009 Anyone with a barf bag? no lie...I predicted CCDS to win, but I was hoping Bluefield could somehow pull it off....Sounds like the announcers are getting way to much excitement over that damn squirrel on the field...
