Thoughts on the second half, if we don't close the gap before half should we play the JV in the second half? THe ultimate goal is still well within reach, this game isn't worth risking more injuries in my opinion.

Injuries are part of the game. You don't back off no matter who you play. It's not a good example for your players going forward.

 

True that, and you don't want your starters thinking that you gave up on them!

If you lose key players to serious injury there won't be much to look forward to. I agree, you don't back off and I didn't say back off. However, giving the younger kids an opportunity to play some significant minutes would be of benefit for the future. The game isn't out of reach completely at this point, but the offense has shown no signs of life and now you're starting QB appears to be done for the night. Give a chance early in the second half, but if things continue as they are I believe you give the younger kids an opportunity to gain some experience and live to fight another day.
