The semi-finals will be big, grundy and cburg match up 7 times in this round alone. Should set the tone for the region and state titles

well...this is what the Grundy boys have been working on all year...time for the rubber to meet the road.

C-burg must have did better in the conslation rounds to be ahead of Grundy right now because I counted Grundy having 7 in the finals and C-burg with 6.

Pretty surprized to see that Jon Dot nor Ethan made the finals. A few intresting re-matches though tonight in the finals. At 112 Joey and Sean faced each other in Blacksburg a few weeks back and Joey pretty much owend him, see if Sean can make up for it. Also at 125 Street and Wilson, last week in the district finals Wilson pulled off the upset...I have a feeling there will be a different outcome in tonights match between the two.

We're behind by, I think, 12 going into the finals, where the points are 4, 5, 5.5 & 6.

C'burg had something like 5 of 6 lose their 3rd place matches, which means they won't likely win their 1st match at Salem. I think we went 3-1 for 3rd, with Jon Dot's strategic forfeit the only loss.

And Ethan had one of the Epperlys in the semis, so that didn't surprise me much.

Biggest downer today is McCowan losing to Marion's Groseclose in the consol. semis, knocking him down to 5/6.

The 119 finals should be a great match.

205.5 to 199? is that a final score?

Did Grundy get everyone in the top 4 to send to state or did anyone not make it?

-did McCowan not make it?

Grundy has a good chance, i think all of grundys has a chance to place in the top 6 and cburg has a possiblity of loseing 2 or 3 out early. I also think we have 1 state winner in 112 but cburg has 3 maybe 4 state winners and one getting falls all the way (carter). The one 3rd 4th place match we lost was on purpose to get a better draw in brackets all and all should make for a interesting weekend in wrestling if you can make it up to salem. GO WAVE

It's going to be a tough road to hoe, the problem is they have 4-5 champions 112 130 135 140 152 all have legitimate chances of at least being in finals I think Grundy has 1 state champ at 119 just about have to have everyone else place to stay close to them. My personal opinion is it rests on 2 weight classes same as it has everytime 135 140 if Grundy doesn't beat one or both of the Epperly's they can't beat christiansburg.

I want to say good luck to everyone who qualified for state. I also want to say that while Dotson is located in a better position for state, he had a shoulder injury and the trainer recommended he wait and go next week. It was not the coaches call.

I've looked at the brackets before and after they're filled in, and I still don't see how 4th comes out any better than 3rd. Only diff. I see is he gets Ep in the semis instead of the #1 ranked guy from Brookville, which he didn't face last month.

Where can I find the link for the state tournment bracketing?
