BluefieldPT 10 Report Share Posted April 22, 2014 Has anyone heard if they have picked a new HC at Pulaski for football yet ?
great_state 12 Report Share Posted April 22, 2014 Yep, just announced this morning that Fort Chiswell coach Stephen James is the new HC at Pulaski County, pending board approval. Southwest Times story
Blue_Crue 49 Report Share Posted April 22, 2014 I remember reading an article when he got Fort Chiswell job where he told them during interview process it would "be the last job he would apply for...."
redtiger 1,740 Report Share Posted April 22, 2014 I wonder who is in line to take over at FC? Former Haysi QB Rob Colley(James Colley's oldest son) is on staff(I think as DC, maybe Asst. HC).

I wouldn't be surprised to see him go with James to PC, honestly. I think quite a few assistants are Dublin bound.
Single A west 113 Report Share Posted April 22, 2014 Colley I believe is the only coach not going to Pulaski. What I heard today. I don't think Colley is the answer.
redtiger 1,740 Report Share Posted April 22, 2014 As far as Robs coaching ability I really don't know much but I do know he is a high character guy with a good pedigree. I cant imagine he would be a bad move.

GMan 3,569 Report Share Posted April 23, 2014 My thought on this... James could see the well going dry in Max Meadows and found the perfect place to jump to...
bucfan64 307 Report Share Posted April 23, 2014 Worked with James for a couple of years, he will be a fine addition to Pulaski, as for Rob, coached against him and his dad, I think he is more than capable of being successful. He comes from great stock and he has strong character and leadership qualities. He would be a good fit at Fort or anywhere for that matter. BluefieldPT 10 Author Report Share Posted April 23, 2014 Disappointing to me to hear. I had hoped another applicant that was more than qualified would get the Job. Oh well

redtiger 1,740 Report Share Posted April 23, 2014 Idk if the well is going dry, although the talent at FC probably wont reach what they had this season for awhile.
Single A west 113 Report Share Posted April 24, 2014 Fort will make another run this upcoming year if they pick the right coach. Key positions to replace center and 2 lbs. QB will be Gilman.
