Wavefan257 14 Report Share Posted July 9, 2014 Do you all think the way will be any good this year?
redtiger 1,740 Report Share Posted July 9, 2014 They are a playoff team imo. They will have their hands full with Haysi, Honaker, Union and JI Burton, should handle the rest of their schedule. I would say anywhere from 6-4 to 8-2. greenwavefan#5
greenwavefan#5 12 Report Share Posted July 13, 2014 no doubt about it #5 must touch the ball as many times as possible!
redtiger 1,740 Report Share Posted July 13, 2014 Definitely. He probably needs to get 15 touches a game.
ojrussell 61 Report Share Posted July 16, 2014 Red Tiger-Where will the Wolfpack have a new football stadium? I have heard that their home games will be played in Clintwood.
redtiger 1,740 Report Share Posted July 17, 2014 The new school is supposed to have fields for all sports on site but I doubt they will be completed by the time the school opens (Fall 2015). The actual building isint complete yet. I would say for the 1st year all of the outdoor games will be played at Clintwood's facilities, they are closest to the new school. How long does it take to put in sports fields/build stands/fieldhouse?
sixcat 2,919 Report Share Posted July 17, 2014 Its typically not just the building of the athletic fields, field houses etc. that takes time. Gaining all necessary regulatory agency approval and occupancy permits can often take longer than construction. Due diligence will most likely be applied to the design but what is constructed doesn't always rise to the quality of the design. Open bidding on the projects have become so competitive over the years that contractors bid projects knowing if they build exactly what is designed, they will lose money. Corners get cut so the contractors can turn a profit. Less skilled labor gets hired to reduce overhead. The list goes on and on. Agencies are checking these things more closely these days to ensure not only the quality of design but the quality of construction as well. redtiger and Deleted Account
cwood78 161 Report Share Posted August 1, 2014 any other year , i'd say wave is rebuilding ,being this is suppossed to be the end,i'll go with this..... lean....and green.....small line,........( i mean small)...no backfield to speak of, unproven QB.....#5 is gonna have to step up and be leader..... and he will have a strong motivation to succeed....clintwood has some returning players......but.....saw limited playing time.... even winning the cumberland will be a stretch.......last year , i believe i said clintwood would be lucky to make it past second round........aganist burton.....i'm stilll at aloss about that one.. we hammered them during reg.season...knew what was coming......but that was then... this is now......gonna get drilled by union.....going to bite the bullet and take our lumps....lookin for 5-5 season........its just not going to be the same......coach cummins...was hoping to see clintwoods last season..... just a side note.....looking down the road.....have some jvs, are as big as austin kelly #53 coming to the wolfpack den..........baring any injuries or transfers......lance has pics.......OF KELLY
greenwavefan#5 12 Report Share Posted August 1, 2014 All clintwood has to do is get the ball to #5and he will do the rest. We will be 7-3 maybe 8-2 I've been around all these kids and I think we are going to be better than most people think.
redtiger 1,740 Report Share Posted August 1, 2014 Having a small line would worry me. Mullins had small lines his first couple of seasons and didnt adapt the offense very well. Granted hes much more experienced as a HC now. Wont be able to just run people over this season. I look for the Greenwave to still have a top notch defense
