Lee County working closer to regaining hospital

Recommended Posts

Really is a big need for us down here in Lee.  EMS services racking up the fuel costs, and extending travel time to the nearest hospital for services and people.  I remember how much Wellmont claimed the hospital was not being used yet staff at Lonesome Pine said their emergency room visits number increased greatly shortly after the closure and most were coming from Lee, and that was from LPH alone, not including Harlan, Middlesboro, and etc.  When the county gave up control and we lost our "community hospital" things really changed and ultimately ended up for the worst.

So, as this saga is still continuing, our assembled hospital authority had jumped on this company and been getting backlash from citizens posting about their problems with other hospitals....and then there's this in perfect Lee County fashion...
