Bulldogs52 482 Report Share Posted September 6, 2014 Don't know much about the Cougars, but I know they lost to DB last night and are coming into Tazewell at 1-1. The Dawgs are coming off another big home win and are sitting at 2-0. Tazewell has racked up over 1000 yards in the first two games with a total of 82 points scored! Tazewell has the chance to start off 3-0 with their 3rd straight home game.... Anyone with any info on SC willing to share with us?

thsvikings2004 15 Report Share Posted September 9, 2014 Central don't suck really, but I say if Tazewell stop Central running game they will win in a blowout. For a few years Central hasn't had a passing game threat at all.
stu_bean 1,058 Report Share Posted September 9, 2014 I remember last year they kept running sweep plays and tosses to the outside and would gain 6 to 7 yds every play. Â Didn't look overly impressive to me even though we still sucked at that point in the season. Â On another note one thing I could say and maybe because it is such a distance or lack of importance, the fans there were some of the nicer people I had ever been around in all the places I have vistied. futbolking 766 Report Share Posted September 11, 2014 Central will be a tough challenge for Tazewell.....but Tazewell is the real deal this year... Â I'll take Tazewell by 14...

futbolking 766 Report Share Posted September 12, 2014 Â I don't expect 500 yards of offense, but that 500 yards against Graham came with what amounted to Tazewell's J.V. playing a big portion of the 4th quarter....Graham has zero defense, but they do have a pretty talented offense...and Tazewell held Graham to 15 points with their first stringers in there. Â Sullivan took the Dogs to the woodshed last year...I think the Dawgs bite back this year.
jblank 39 Report Share Posted September 12, 2014 Sullivan Central isn't very good....let me rephrase that, Sullivan Central is actually pretty bad. For some ludicrous reason, the BHC only picked Tazewell to win by 7 points, but I don't think it's close at all. Tazewell wins 46-12. Deleted Account 5,203 Report Share Posted September 12, 2014 The BHC always picks some "don't wanna huwt anywone's feewings" score. The reason I don't read them anymore. Well, the 2nd-largest reason.

stu_bean 1,058 Report Share Posted September 13, 2014 I look for Taz to get 500 yards on offense this game. Close but not quite coming in at 472. But I will take that 100 yd pick 6 any day!

Bulldogs52 482 Author Report Share Posted September 13, 2014 Tazewell is the real deal this year. Â You can't complain about starting the season off with 4 games in a row at home, especially with the crowds that have showed up for the past 3 weeks... Hope it travels with them for the next 4 weeks! You can tell the players are really feeding off of it! The Dawgs have a chance after next week to hit the road at 4-0.... Big game next week with the Warriors from Cillhowie after the great come back from 30 down in the second half to getting screwed out of the win in the last few seconds so the Bulldogs will be looking for a little revenge! If this team can stay healthy and keep focused, the sky is the limit for them this season! I believe the turning point for this team was during this game last season! Bulldogs52 482 Author Report Share Posted September 13, 2014 With the game tonight it took Tazewell a while to figure it out, then the offense of the Dawgs just took their defense to the woodshed!
futbolking 766 Report Share Posted September 13, 2014 Tazewell has good size and good speed and they have kids that believe they can win (that is huge).  The QB plays the position VERY well and he is a good athlete to boot.  He has a much better grasp of the offense this season.  Last season, he would take off and run when he didn't need to.  This season, he is playing very smart and most of all....you could tell by watching him in the huddle and on the sideline that he is a LEADER....and good teams have good leaders.  They have good RB's and good receivers and they are proficient at running the offense.  I wouldn't bet against them against anybody.....  There are a lot of good teams in 2A in Virginia..but I believe the Dogs could hang with the best of them.  I watched them last week and was extremely impressed.... they could've easily put up  60 points on Graham, but chose to run the ball and eat the clock in the 4th quarter.  The atmosphere at the game was awesome, lots of fans....very cool intro and I like the new loook with the black on the unis.  You guys certainly won me over last week.  I will definitely follow the bulldogs this season....and if they make the playoffs, you can bet that I'll be in attendance cheering them on.   My biggest concern for them is on special teams.  They need to find a kicker....it could come back to haunt them in a close game, although they have been pretty successful at 2 point conversions. Bulldogs52 482 Author Report Share Posted September 13, 2014 Kicker! Yes, yes they do! They kicked a few more tonight than they have the previous two weeks.... What burns my ass is why the coach is so afraid to kick it deep on kick offs! I would rather take my chances at a run back then give them the ball near mid field or on our side of the field!
