Falcon Recovery

Things were problematic from the start.  It began with channel 11, waking us up early and getting us hyped.  If we had played the game last Friday morning it would have been different. Everyone knows that Falcons hunt better in the morning. By the time our students left there, they had no voices to cheer on our Falcons.  The only cheering doneFriday night was from me and Southy.  I ask Southbound whats wrong with the student section, his dad replied its that dam news channel 11, they lost their voices this morning showboating for freaking tv!! Even though we were at home, it was like the referees thought we were playing away, several times I watched our sideline try to get in a fresh ball, only to be turned away?  Who wants to play with wet balls?? Finally,  its also obvious that Gate City had a team who were hold backs. We played some young kids.  Its well known that a 19 year old is stronger than a 16 year old!  I call upon the VHSL to investigate their birth cards because its a known fact that they hold back.  Anyways, thank goodness we have the braves, I mean the warriors this week.   They come in 1-1 just like us; however, we didn't lose to the candy canes new "baseball"team, they did!! Falcons recover and win putting us back on track for state!

Maybe its because those students had nothing to cheer for?  Its my understanding that Gate City really put it on your Falcons.  However, I must admit that I do enjoy reading you and your sidekick's excuses.  It really makes me chuckle.  One of the reasons I even look at the message board.

It could be worse. We could be two games into the season and already have 113 points scored on us. Must be cause THE COACH isn't there.

Its fine.  Go ahead and take your shots at the smallest school in our county.  But, Holston is still trying to find their identity.  Its tough replacing a top notch coach like Jason Matlock.  I applaud our current coach in his efforts.  Word spreads fast here in Damascus.  Lets just say that there are some pieces of the puzzle being put in this week.  Nevertheless, its still tough to go the distance without THE COACH.

I am glad you brought this topic up FM because I ask dad the same questions. First of all the refs would not let us use dry footballs. They made us play with wet balls. Dad said he would like to turn the ref in to the VHSL organization. What kind of dude makes you play with wet balls?

Next I will agree with dad and FM news channell 11 jinxed us like being on Madden cover or dad said SI jinx. We were so worn out before game started getting up at daylight to meet news 11 dad was really agitated about that. It is hard for me after hard day at college to give 100 percent at football games. I told FM I might have to hold a little back. Speaking of my career been giving a lot of though to giving football another try. Dad told me this weekend he would pay for me a personal trainer if I wanted to play next year. He winked at me and said I think you still have some gas in the tank you wanna give it a try? I told him give me a couple weeks let me weight some options. I told dad that I miss being home all the time and spending times with Stripes. Stripes is an awesome cat and dad said he sits on bed and meows because he misses me. I am gonna find a way to sneak him in my college dorm.

Last I have a complaint with some Gate City fans about cowbells and smoking during game. I told a poileceman about one dude smoking in front of bathrooms. I don't like to get people in trouble but it is against stadium policy to smoke cigarettes during game. Guys go somewhere else for that crap people don't wont to be around it. Do what you want in your home but don't smoke in ours!

Like I said without rain different game Friday everything was just so slick. I almost fell down going to bathroom grass was wet and I slide down. Looking for dry night Friday. Go Falcons!!!

What division does Kaplan compete in?

Judging by your grammar I assume English 101 is a sophomore level class at Kaplan. No big deal, it doesn't take a mastery of the English language to work a deep fryer.

Gas left in the tank? You cant even go to college for a few hours and then go to a football game and cheer your own team on without being exhausted! the only team I know of that you could play football for is in Abingdon.

It is up to each individual team to have somebody rotate dry footballs in. Each team supplies there own footballs and its up to them to dry them off not the refs!

I go to work 40 min away from home, which is no thrill of its own, then go back home and then go out the 10 min it takes to get to Bulldog stadium and am still extremely fired up for whatever may come.  I have even left straight from work just to get to games i.e. Abingdon and still have plenty of fuel left in my tank to get fired up.

I can't even try to type something without making myself laugh every time I read about wet balls...
