redtiger 1,739 Author Report Share Posted October 14, 2014 Thats Haysi loss to Tug doesn't look so bad now. Took a #4 ranked team to OT TVHS96
TVHS96 6 Report Share Posted October 15, 2014 Tug Valley has had an interesting season and has had a lot of close games this season. 4-of-6 wins have been by 8 points or less. There was the 6-point win at Sherman at the beginning of the season, and I'll be the first to say that Sherman hasn't been very good this year. There was the double OT game with Haysi. The very next weekend, there was the triple OT game with Tolsia. And this past weekend, Tug Valley came from 22 points down to win, 24-22, at Valley-Fayette. It's been a pretty wild year over here. redtiger 1,739 Author Report Share Posted October 15, 2014 Glad they are having a good season. Tug always played Haysi tough but were just out manned. Plus the better Tug does the better it is for Haysi!
LegendatLegion 109 Report Share Posted October 16, 2014 Magnolia is 2-4 and it looks like they could have won every game, or at least were in every game.
TVHS96 6 Report Share Posted October 16, 2014 Magnolia is about the best 2-4 team I could imagine. They're good enough to beat any Class A team in West Virginia, but they'll almost definitely miss the playoffs. They take a lot of pride in their schedule up there, but this is one of those seasons where they fell on the wrong side of too many of those close games. Wheeling Central is in the same boat, but they could slip into the playoffs if they run the table at 6-4. Then, they'd be capable of winning the thing as a 14-16 seed. gridironmike 11 Report Share Posted October 22, 2014 Would Tug Valley possibly have an opening on their schedule in the near future?
redtiger 1,739 Author Report Share Posted October 22, 2014 Idk what they have lined up but Haysi definitely wont be on their schedule next season
TVHS96 6 Report Share Posted October 22, 2014 Hey gridironmike. We have 9-of-10 opponents returning for next season. Haysi is the only one leaving the schedule due to this being their last year as a school. I heard from our coaches that we've already filled the other slot for next season, but I could be wrong. If we have a slot open, it would either be Week 4 or 11. BUT I have nothing to do with scheduling.
