Just for some good discussion I'm looking at Clintwood's schedule and I don't see a team that they beat that they shouldn't have. Kind of like PH except for Northwoods maybe. Yes Clintwood has the winning tradition and history but this PH team has some motivation of their own.

Good luck Clintwood and I want to Congratulate all of the football community and their amazing fans. What a run you guys have had. You all have played football the way it is was supposed to be played. Great coaching, great young men, great athletes, more heart than others, just wanted to knock the stuffing out of somebody, just wanted to win and great fans! Truly a Gold Standard for your time. Thank you!

I have got to meet several of your all's players and moms and dads in recent years mostly at the All Star game and truly enjoyed it. Just good ole country folks. Now go out in style at Ralphs House!!!!!!

You all have represented SWVA well!!!!!!!!!

Strength of schedule took a hit when moving to the Cumberland district this year but clintwood is a solid team and this in all likelihood is the last game ever at Ralph Cummings stadium and to beat them in that environment next Saturday will be a tough task for any team in the west

Haven't seen ph this year but it seems to me they are on the up swing. I have seen Clintwood and I think ph has a very good chance. Clintwood has the two play makers at wide out but in my opinion keep the ball away from them and you have a real good chance. The running back runs hard but don't have that breakaway ability. AND Clintwood was upset last year.

Clintwood 28 PH 7. I don't know who all PH has played but I doubt that they have had their pads popped like they are going to get at Clintwood. I was impressed with the heart and hitting of the Wave ( All clean hard hits ) They will play hard for 4 quarters.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if the Rebs upset the Wave. They have improved tremendously as the season has progressed, but consistency has been an issue for PH. At the risk of using a cliche, it will be interesting to see which Rebel team shows up at Ralph Cummins this weekend.

The PH game I can't figure out is there loss to Thomas walker as a fan that has never seen them play that loss on it's own makes me wonder what kind of team they are

Btw can anyone tell me what type of offense and defense PH runs

PH is very solid but not very deep. They have a great QB, RBs and 3 or 4 really good receivers. They also have one of the better tight ends in the area. Their O line is solid but not very deep. Defensively they are very sound. Very, Very good MLB. They are very balanced as far as run/pass. with both QB and RB well over 1000 yds. They might get overwhelmed but I could see them winning.

I agree Falcon.  Wright is a great QB.....very sound, accurate and cerebral.  Humphrey kinda came out of nowhere (to me, at least) to be a real threat.  I think PH has a real shot at beating Clintwood.  If the Oline can give Wright time and make some holes for Humphrey then this will be a real game. I think PH pulls it out....20-14.

I kinda side with Counts here, how does a team with a "great QB", "one of the better tight ends in the area" a " Very, Very good MLB" and "3 or 4 really good receivers" lose to TW?

I know a lot can change over the course of a season but TW? really?

I will leave it up to you guys who know the teams. Me being a fan of SWVA football  just have to pull for the Wave in this one. With all the tradition and success they have had....I would just love to see them close it out on a winning note.
