High school football is a Friday nigjt tradition. I understand manning state semis and finals on Saturday due to travel and such. But keep it on Friday for a long as possible. I don't like Friday night playoff games at all. Maybe its the Coach Mance effect, but I don't like Saturdays. It's a different routine to the kids. Then there is the whole new added factor of them getting in trouble on a Friday night when there isn't a game. There's just too many variables, to me anyways. My point is the semis and championship are Saturday and we all know routine means a lot this time of the year...and like suprbeast beast said it sets the playoffs apart from the season....but on the same note I always did like watching Richlands on Friday then getting to watch my tigers on Saturday! martrip 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
BlueRazor 1,147 Report Share Posted November 12, 2014 Most of us fans and for sure Mance likes Friday Nights as long as possible. That way if you are fortunate enough to make it deep into the playoffs....when you do have a Saturday game it gives you an extra day of rest and preparation for that one game. Of course everybody has there own opinions but Ryan accurately stated most of Richlands fans view. And I really don't know the feelings of most of the Honaker fans either just my little group I sit with..we all like the Saturday games! And I agree different strokes for different folks. OrangeStreak 45 Report Share Posted November 13, 2014 All who like Saturday playoff games are comin from us that are used to it that way and all who like Friday night games are used to that... so its jus what we are used to and jus a difference of opinions.... makes the board work if ya knw what i mean!!! I like it when its a combo of both as well so u can watch a game friday somewhere and saturday somewhere else!!! Great points on both sides!!! redtiger 1,740 Report Share Posted November 15, 2014 Haysi cruised in this one. JIB put together a nice drive at the start of each half but that was it for their offense. Haysi did have a hard time running the ball inside; Tigers were short a OL today(out w injury) and JIBs 3 D Linemen are vey big and very good. Haysi was just faster at every position than JIB. A few quick stats/facts Haysi had almost 300 yards of offense at halftime, almost 600 for the game Haysi had 0 turnovers. Haysi kneeled the ball down at the end of the game(Haysi 2nd O vs JIB 2nd D).
