The word down here in Giles County is that Richlands is going to be loaded this year if they can get some consistant play from the QB....are these rumors true?

I heard it straight from a Spartan/Blue LOL

They should, they had another stellar recruiting class of kids that have already developed their skill sets elsewhere... Plenty of other good teams in D 2. There is always a lot of wind blowing out of Richland's this time of year...

We didn't lose much from a team that probably should have played for a state title.

Asbury will be the QB. He's a lefty, and you rarely see the kid make a bad decision. He's not a runner like River was, but he can move if the pocket collapses. I think we will be fine with him under center.

I see us as a favorite in 2A West with GC, Giles, and Glenvar.

Pretty sure there is some confusion...

Seems there were multiple days of competition, maybe even multiple groups on the same day.  However, TODAY, Richlands beat George Washington (Charleston) in the finals.

This is what I have been told...take it for what it's worth...you're welcome...

So.Charleston won the Marshall 7 on 7 Wednesday and Richlands won Thursday 7 on 7, Marshall had two tournaments because of all the teams that wanted in.

Richlands went 7-0-1 on the day. in other tazcofootball news Graham played up in Marshall Wednesday for 7 on 7 and went 4-1-1 their only loss was to So.Charleston,

I don't believe Tazewell has yet to play in any 7 on 7 so far this summer

The 7-On-7 camp is a one-day competition, but Marshall is hosting two separate days to allow more teams to take part.

Wednesday's camp featured 13 teams including Hurricane, Spring Valley, Point Pleasant, Chapmanville and South Charleston.

Goebbel said 11 teams would be in action Thursday that include Huntington High, Cabell Midland, Winfield and George Washington.

Graham finished 4th overall...couple of freshman did very well, I hear.and yes the Bulldogs have not yet participated in any 7 on 7's.....

The Southwest VA all- star ensemble...aka Richland's won on Thursday.
