NFL Predictions

Long time no talk everyone. What does everyone think about the upcoming NFL season?

I'm think it'll be the Colts and Packers in the Super Bowl this year.

I expect a big year from the Steelers and could beat out the Colts.

Also expect my Redskins to win the NFC East this year.

I believe the Bills will beat out the Patriots and win the division.

I was close last year with my Colts vs Seahawks pick last year. So this year I pick.......

Indianapolis vs Green Bay and I'm picking the Colts to win it all. Good luck stopping that offense.

I even think the Texans could make some noise if they get solid QB play. Don't have much as far as receivers go now without Johnson but that D-Line is scary!!! JJ, WIlfork, and if Clowney can live up to his potential.

I've heard that my Redskins will be better this season. I want to believe it. I really really do. In 2012, RG3 was pretty good but ever since, he and the whole team have been nothing more that garbage.

Dallas wins the NFC East ( You've no idea how much that makes me want to vomit). Dallas will not get by the Packers.

The NFC East will be the Dallas Cockroaches', I mean Cowboys', to lose.

I think its Dallas and Green Bay for the NFC with Seattle close(very close) behind. Carolina and Detroit will be right there too. Dallas beat Seattle last season, I feel confident that they can again.

AFC is wide open imo. NE is still there. Denver, Pittsburg, Baltimore and Indy should be really good. Buffalo and Miami should be much improved.

Seattle, Green Bay and Dallas will be the class of the NFC.

The AFC is a bit more convoluted.  Miami is much improved and I look for them to break out of he pack.  Denver and New England will take a step backward.  Pittsburgh and Baltimore will be improved but not to the level of Miami.

Forgetting about the Colts, eh? Interesting lol.

I didn't forget them at all.  Until they get much more consistent on 3rd down, they will continue to be a middle of the pack football team.  The NFL game is mainly situational.  No one team is going to be physically stronger than another or out athlete another.  They are all very similar in terms of measurables.

Teams differentiate themselves by scheme and execution.  The Colts are one of the worst 3rd down conversion teams in the AFC, ranking 12th, I believe, last year.  Lends itself to the dramatic late game heroics but if they were more consistent in execution, they wouldn't need to be.

Just my opinion.  For all I know, they could win the Super Bowl.

The third down problems have (should) been fixed through free agency and the draft. We haven't had a RB that could carry the load in a decade. We have that in Gore. We picked up the vet WR in Johnson and picked up a legit 4.3 speed guy through the draft. The offense will be better built to get those key third downs this year as long as the line remains healthy.

Nothing ever gets fixed on paper in football or any other sport for that matter.  Time will tell if it is fixed on the field.  Addressing perceived needs on the field and keeping the same coaching that prepared the team for those situations doesn't always work.

Is the 3rd down issues in the past a reflection of philosophy, coaching execution or on field execution?

You will know by October 1st.

The Redskins have gotten a lot better on defense. They added so much up front and are very deep! Got some good secondary pieces too. All I've been reading about the 'Skins are how much tougher we are and how much more physical we will play.

I think the Cowgirls won't be very good without Murray. I think McFadden is a good back but he won't put up the number Murray did, which will have the Cowgirls rely more on good ole Tony Romo. I love it when the pressure is all on him and he has to throw the ball.

For some strange reason I feel like deep down Jerry Jones is still itching for Ray Rice. Romo will be back to showing his true colors if he has to go back to passing the ball to win games for Dallas....plain and simple. It pains me being a Dallas fan but Romo just can't hack it throwing the ball in big game situations without a true threat at RB. I think I would have rather seen them get rid of Dez and keep Murray. Murray was a machine and level headed....Bryant I see stirring up a stink just about every year over something...The next Terrell Owens.

I still think everyone is overrating Murray, 1 good season in his career. I do wish we Dallas would have drafted a RB though.

So, Jordy Nelson is out for the season with an ACL which imo knocks GB out of serious NFC contention(they will still be a tough out) and kills 1 of my fantasy teams.
