One big thing in this game is if Heth Grant plays for Radford or not....if not that's a huge blow for them. He is one heck of a RB and maybe a better LB....Love watching this kid play because he gives it his all every play he is on the field. RCITYHOO 110 Report Share Posted October 13, 2015 Grant and their leading tackler (#56) will be out for the Giles game. Parcell is in a cast after breaking hand in Floyd game. So that means both linebackers will be on the sidelines wearing jersey without pads, As far as being pissed if Giles wasn't aganist Glenvar then they will never be after getting slapped around like 3 yr olds in the playoffs last year. Oh I think they were pissed against Glenvar but Glenvar is just a better team right now....and the game Saturday was a lot closer than the playoff game last year....We had a shot to win Saturday where as last year in playoffs we didn't. As far as injuries for Giles Pennington is the only major one and I haven't heard if he is playing or not....But we have a bunch of players banged up....we have had a tough stretch especially the last 2 games in 6 days...but at this point of the season most teams are a little banged up. If we can get through Friday we have Floyd and East mont the next 2 weeks....should be a good time to get some back ups some PT and get our starters out early and give them some rest....we are a very tired football team right now but I have confidence in the players and coaches they will be ok come playoff time And with Grant out that is a major blow to the Bobcats....speedy recovery to Mr Grant RCITYHOO 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
RCITYHOO 110 Report Share Posted October 13, 2015 Agree completely, Floyd is awful and EMont is Emont. Was saying we are lucky to be playing you after these past 2 weeks. Killer stretch. And yes Giles could have won Saturday. Couldn't belive they (Glenvar) went for 2, and then couldn't belive Giles couldn't get a first down to run the clock out. With that being said i'd liked to have played you at full strength but losing our 2 best defenseive players will probably be a killer for us. Hokiebird7 1,416 Report Share Posted October 13, 2015 We couldn't get a first down because their defense is absolutely dominate....I said at the time if we can get a first down I think it's over...even if we had to punt they would have had to go 70 or 80 yards in less than 2 minutes....and the way our defense played I would have taken my chances with those odds....but we couldn't get a first down and they got the ball and kicked the FG to win...congrats to them Losing Grant is HUGE and I feel bad for the kid...i've seen Parcell play and if he is your leading tackler which you say then he is either A LOT better than last year or Grant is getting double teamed a bunch and freeing up Parcell...but more than likely it's a bit of both I wish Grant a speedy recovery and hope he is back for playoffs so you guys can make a run....I still think it will be a dogfight Friday night though....2 years ago when we won state title Radford really had us on the ropes and probably should have won the game....if not for a great defensive play they probably would have Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
RCITYHOO 110 Report Share Posted October 13, 2015 Parcell got moved to Def. End last year which was a huge mistake. Moved him back to LB where he always belonged.
