I'll be pulling for Honaker in this one.  I see it being a 10 to 13 point win for the Tigers also.   With the wind the way it is suppose to be tonight,  a good strong kicker could make a difference and there are not many,  if any that are better than the Tiger kicker !

It was a really good game to watch. Eric Doane is a really good qb. Can run and throws the ball really good. On Northwoods first two offensive plays they had long passing tds. In the end Northwood made one to many mistakes and Honaker actually made them pay for it. Only thing we can hope for is that the home grass slows Radford down lol.

Hope you enjoy your visit to Radford as much as I enjoyed my trip to Honaker last year (except for the butt whooping part) Met some very nice people there. As I like to call them my kinda people. Hope it can be the same for you as it was me. lol

Ok a statement on NW, last season they were run, run, run, run, run... run, run, run, run, etc, etc

Could they not have combined some of what theyre doing this year with what they had last season?

Maybe someone from NW can shed some light on this for me

Last season Mark Frye quit after the beat down they took in the Haysi scrimmage, that left Prater 1week before the season started he had to go with what was already planed for.  Plus Frye stayed on as an assistant last year and that group of Seniors were his boys, he coached them from middle school on and they went undefeated in 8th grade. Too many things going on for Prater to change to what he wanted last year.  In the last 4 games of the season he started mixing in some shotgun (spread) but IMHO I don't believe Call had a strong enough  or accurate arm to run the spread, he was a good runner though.  As for the run game this year #21 has the size and some speed to be a good RB, he broke his foot at the first of the season and never could get going and line play was not always the best on run blocking.

I was on of the few this year not surprised to see them come out in the spread and throw the ball around, I told several people at the end of the season last year to expect Doane to be the QB and they come out slinging the ball.

I completely forgot about the coaching change! That explains a lot. Still though, thats a huge change.

Were the Panthers a true Spread team this year or a Shotgun Double Wing with SEs instead of TEs?

edit:

I just saw some film, 4 Wide Spread.  Thats a HUGE change in one season
