Have you seen Appomattox? Just curious, as I only know their record.

I feel like you can count the number of people on this board on one hand, and I'm one of those few.

Appomattox reminds me a lot of Buckingham in the run game, with the difference being that Appo has a much better passing game.

It's gonna be a dogfight. But I believe we win this game. Just have to limit turnovers and not give up a bunch of big plays.

But don't you drive the "you-can't-use-the-transitive-property-in-football" bus? ;)

You got it.

I certainly don't believe that you can say that Team A beat Team B in a meaningless benefit game by 7, and Team B beat Team C in Week 2 by 14, so Team A will definitely beat Team C in Week 13.

You have to consider Appo's defense, which has not given up more than 14 points to any opponent this season. You also have to consider that Appo hasn't faced a versatile and potent offense like Richlands yet. Also, the Appomattox/Buckingham game in Week 1 should give some direction, as the two teams were a combined 18-0 in the regular season from that point on.

I am not afraid to say that this game makes me very nervous.......very.  I think we have a team that can beat Appo,  but I also think they have a team that can beat us.  Both teams have a slew of athletes and it should be a very good football game.  The team that makes the least amount of mistakes and makes the best adjustments during the game should win this game.  We are going to have to tighten up our run defense,  we did a much better job in the 2nd half,  but Buckingham helped us out by getting away from the run and started to throw the ball more which really played into our hands thanks in a big way because of the adjustments we made.

Cudos to coach Mance & staff for the halftime adjustments they made ( as always ).

I do believe we can and will win this game,  but we have to come out playing better in the 1st half and not give up so many big runs and plays.

Scotty ball was the man last night along with Atkins,  that's what makes this team so tough to defend,  they ( Buckingham )  wanted to take Howie out of the game and pretty much did by putting Ragland on him one on one,  but we have several other receivers that can hurt you and they did.  I thought that John luke had a good game also and he will need to be on point against Appo.

So is there any of those Lee fan's left out there. If so give us your take of Appomattox.  I was able to listen to first half, sounded like Lee was giving them a good battle playing with a lot of heart.  How about the QB is he mobile or strictly pocket passer.  What's the o line look like.  Did they keep their 1st string in the whole game? Was talking to one of them Buck fans said they had a sweet double reverse, did they try to use that on you.  See any weakness

Itd be awesome to see an all SWVA state final, Id have to make the trip to Salem if it happens. And Im being a bit selfish, if Union wins, we get to host the 2A East team lol

The West winner will win it all, the best team in the East lost last night so whoever makes it out of the ruggest West, will win it. I truly believe any of the four teams left can win it all. Every team is VERY good. This is probably the best year I've seen in terms of having so many good 2A teams.

Don't know anything about Appomattox or what Richlands can expect from them, but I do know Lee High. Lee has an outstanding MLB, but the fact that it took the Raiders a whole half to score 21 points tells me a lot about their lack of offense. I know the final score was very lopsided, but it was obvious that Lee had given up by that point.

Difficult to know anything about their defense based on that game as well since Lee struggled to put points up on Union, Gate City, Va High, and Burton. I don't think the Blues will have any trouble with Appo's offense. The game may be won or lost between the Appo defense and the Richlands' offense.

There is a clip of App vs Lee on the Virginia prep site.  I can't seem to paste the link here.  They have what looks like a couple good receivers and a speedy run game, we will see. Can't really tell. Missing the drama of knowing what we are up against.

If you go to www.wdbj7.com and let your cursor rest on sports, you will see Friday Night Football Extra. Go down to schools and you can then click on Appomattox County High School.  It has some video clips there of games.

I was watching highlights of John-Luke on hudl and in seeing the ones he threw to Scottie, his #15 stood out to me.  Yesterday someone told me Scottie and Justin McCracken were first cousins.  Today I was thinking Justin wore #15 when he played and we know what happened in 2006 at Lynchburg. .  A harbinger of things to come?  WE CAN HOPE.

GO BLUES!!!!!!!!!!!

Lee last year and this year smashed them in the mouth with our large running backs. They are susceptible to the power game.

They have good wr's, one of them reminds you of noaks (the "it") factor.

Their line is undersized and you should be able to apply pressure.

If Richlands players are as advertised, you should contain them and have them on the ropes and be able to contain their playmaker on the outside.

Don't let the Lee appo, score fool you. Lee has let the wheels fall off every game this season after being down 14 points, no resolve. The 21 points came in the second quarter near the end of the half.

With that said Richlands should win by 21, with a tough "gut" style run game and using their playmaker on the outside to allow their line to get to the qb.

It says 2014-2015 but doesnt specify what is 14 and what is 15.

Split Backs, Veer Option and HB Lead. Some Spread mixed in. Effective but not overly impressive passing game. Defense looks tough!

Idk if anyone else will notice but #67 is a monster on O and D,  blowing DL off the ball and busting up plays at the los

Btw, how many teams over that way are running a version of the Single Wing? There are several on the video, plus Buckingham Co

Going by the points they've allowed this season they don't look like they're susceptible to anything. Gonna be a tough one. Richlqnds better bring it all 4 quarters and take care of the ball.

In the four big games they've had this year they've turned it over. 3 being for tds.
