SWVAgridiron 1,469 Report Share Posted November 21, 2015 I'm not what you could call a die hard Giles fan but I love watching them play. The first time they played Glenvar, I do think the refs determined the outcome. Tonight, Glenvar just showed that they had the better team. As a mutual observer the officiating was great. Both teams got penalized and the calls were all obvious. #7 for Glenvar is just an amazing athlete. Some of those catches he had you would see at the NFL level. And hats off to Glenvar's defense once again. They gave Giles great field position all night but Giles could not do anything with it. Their coach called a few questionable plays but Glenvar was just too much. Keep your head up Spartans, yall did a lot better than expected. Glenvar, congrats. Best defense I have seen in years. nrv_football 81 Report Share Posted November 21, 2015 Hope Giles has some players coming up that can fill some of the shoes of the seniors. Don't know much about the JV for Giles and what they did. But hoping Giles can bounce back next season and get a win against Glenvar at the least.
Akshun 25 Report Share Posted November 21, 2015 Glenvar JV went undefeated this year. They will be strong again next year.
SWVAgridiron 1,469 Author Report Share Posted November 21, 2015 Giles lost a lot of their jv players to injuries not to mention their starting tailback at the beginning of the season. They had Glenvar's jv team beat until the 4th. Glenvar went on to win 24-17. This may make for an interesting few years. Giles returns many starters next season but will lose some key players in Mann and Beidleman. Just my opinion but neither Giles or Glenvar will have seasons like these past few years. All of Glenvar's key players graduate.

I knew they had moved Brandon Chapman and some others up to varsity. I know Giles usually reloads and I'm sure will be fine in the near future once again. Yes they were hit by injuries. It was a big loss when they lost their running back. I watched that kid in 8th grade and he was a heck of an athlete. He went out in the 1st game of the season and never returned
