A good read, coaching profession

I, for one an guilty, but pledge at the end of last season to support my coaching staff and offer help instead of criticism. However we as former player and spectators are quick to bash and trash those coaches that give their HUGE time investment to make a good program, for 2k-5k more a year.

 

On another forum I browse, here was a good discussion, speaking of the hardships of coaching. So before I sincerely open my mouth about how bad coaching is I'll remember this.

Was talking to Hancock Countys baseball coach last year before we played them and couldnt believe his stipend was only  $1000, especially considering he had no assistant.  Sure theres a few that just want to draw a stipend but most truly care and want to personally succeed and see their players succeed, on the field/court and in life.
