Hoosyadaddy 22 Report Share Posted July 20, 2016 Have any of you guys seen the YouTube page, SWVAFOOTBALL. It was done up till about 2011 and stopped. Any idea who ran it or why it was stopped? Not that it was an easy thing to do but man that used to be cool to watch still stop on there every know and then and watch some old films. I've seen it and even used some of their footage for the Richlands pump up video I made last year. But I have no idea who ran it. Loved their work, though. That was in the PV and Appy hey day, and when the decline started it was brutal on anyone bringing it up, unless you were from PV or Appy. Below are two excerpts from his response.... I struggled to find good seating positions from which to record and often either had someone in front of me who would block my view or behind me who would fuss every time I would stand up (if I needed to) to record a shot. I'd also received complaints from some who claimed that my films could be used from schools in other parts of Virginia as free "game films" to study up on our schools in case they had to play them in November/December. I know someone who has filmed games for PV I'll see if he filmed jonesvilles state game since it was at bullitt park that year and I'll let you know if I here something. When schools got involved with them they sent their films to them but they never came back, so in theory they are gone forever. These guys have a treasure trove of high school football history. Actually the deal with mygamefilms was if you sent them film they would turn them into dvds. They would then send your film back along with a DVD copy. I know of a few people that did this. I just said if they didn't then the coaches are dumbasses for sending them the films in the first place.
