Lee does seem decent on both sides of the ball though. Ridgeview is 1-3 but has loss to some really good teams. Should be a good challenge for both teams. Â Still I can cross Lee and later in the season, Marion off stadiums I've never visited. Â :) Â I heard quite a few Union people complaining about that Friday night though. I saw a field go attempt stop in mid flight from the wind. swva_havok_fan 1,261 Report Share Posted September 19, 2016 The two big losses on offense for Ridgeview are Guage Hill and Tanner Artrip, receivers who now both play for Emory and Henry. Â Guage was out for all but two minutes of last season too however. Â Biggest loss on defense is Austin Reynolds who had three interceptions against Gate City last season. Â Also, the Mullins kid who took over at QB last season when Reynolds was out hurt for a couple of games and then proceeded to resurrect our season is for some reason back to being the backup this season. I've played in and been to many that are far worse. Central could use that wind to their advantage though. Ridgeview is far better than most but it's newer than most too. The home and visitors sections have plenty of room around the front rows. Central should have constructed theirs that way too. Five Star is average but it does not suck., No one has donated a million to make it a Honaker and no tax money has been used to make it more than it needs to be. Come on man- Ridgeview and Wise are a waste of money for the number of students. That said they are nice places to go watch a game. Best entrance down the hill in SWVA. redtiger 1,740 Report Share Posted September 20, 2016 yosef, I was speaking more toward the overall layout. In that aspect I feel that Ridgeviews and Centrals stadiums suck too. Legion field has the same issues and I don't like it for the same reasons. 5 Stars actual field is pretty nice although not up top the quality of Ralph Cummins Stadium(best grass ive ever seen). When I think quality, SWVA football fields I think close to the action and centrally located restrooms/concessions.  Cowboysskynard, I don't see how the turf caused Gauges injury. He was running straight ahead, came to a full stop and fell down. Done for the season. It wasn't a cut.  West12aaa, "diabetes from the cupcake factory" is  my nominee for quote of the year! jarhead24219 440 Report Share Posted September 20, 2016 The WOLFPACK NATION should be fine in the years to come,what I saw was a very young squad that plays hard and at times looks as good as any on defence.Rick Mullins needs to TALK COACH COLLEY INTO HELPING WITH THE OFFENCE,JUST HAVING HIM ON THE SIDELINE MAY BRING SOME OF THE HAYSI kids out. He is a master at getting a lot from very little, kinda like JIMBO ADAMS.The hard nosed kids are missing in the WOLFPACK, that's what APPALACHIA and TRAVIS TURNER,(COACH AUSTIN)BROUGHT TO THE TABLE AT UNION.Not that Clintwood wasn't tough but HAYSI has always had fewer numbers and a workman on a mission attitude.The fire is missing,great school and field, its just needs a little of the RALPH CUMMINS, COLLEY BLOOD SMEARED ON THEIR CHEEKS. cowboysnskynyrd 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

However, I did speak to him at a track meet a few months ago and he said he felt like the injury may not have happened on grass. Who knows huh? Are you talking about Union's running out of the smoldering "bear" or the part were the buses fly in at 50 mph, 10 minutes before kickoff as the players walk across the field to Thunderstruck?
