pdfan 101 Report Share Posted February 18, 2017 Nobody would listen, Mavahi is not that strong. They are not a top 5-6 team in the state. Were up 17 at half and couldn't hold on. Glenvar has 3-4 legit 3 point shooters and they got hot in the 2nd half. Also they started putting the Dogs on the foul line, the old Jim Valvano strategy and Martinsville couldn't hit a foul shot, must have missed 6-7 the last 3 minutes. He was talking about the "long haul" either Graham or Va High would have to make to Gate City on Tuesday. He obviously doesn't know where Bristol is. He said that Bristol is a long way from Gate City. He said that Bristol might be "a little closer" to Gate City than Bluefield is to GC. And to get to GC from Bristol you have to go through Abingdon. That may be true, but I don't think they can run with the Devils. Richlands can't either. Graham has one or two players who are good, but they don't have anyone like Mac and Dean and Ervin are better than 4 of the 5 Graham starters easily. Just one man's opinion. I don't know if this is due to the competition they have been facing and they are just walking through the games or if they really are struggling and can't get it together. We will soon find out though. Graham could very easily put a whooping on the Devils if they don't show up to play for a full 4 qtrs. Richlands rested fresh and at home, Kudos to Phillips for putting his team in a fresh, rested position. An early Congrats on the programs first region win! Union limped out of Gate City with a 9 point loss and they will limp out of Richlands with bigger 23 point loss. 23 questionable? Either way they will limp out of Richlands.
