swva_havok_fan 1,261 Report Share Posted September 6, 2018 I had UVa-Wise season tickets gave to me for free at the opener last Thursday night. That's how bad they want you to come to the games. Lol
cavalieratmosphere 6 Author Report Share Posted September 6, 2018 You would think that after hovering around .500 for the past couple of seasons, that there would be a bit more interest in going to the home games.

I'm not sure the President puts any emphasis on athletics either. They really need to remove all of their head coaches in basketball and baseball and start from scratch. I'm guessing that the emphasis right now for the college is academics and economic development, which is admirable and ultimately should be the forefront of the college. I really think that the move to the SAC next year will benefit them. The MEC is just a killer conference in all sports. One of the top D2 conferences in the nation. cavalieratmosphere 6 Author Report Share Posted September 15, 2018 I'm puzzled about UVA-Wise's new football helmet design. The one from last year was fine with the V logo. cityofRaven

cavalieratmosphere 6 Author Report Share Posted September 15, 2018 Great win today for the Cavs. Hopefully, they can take care of the turnover problem that they have been having for these past few games. Looks like Bernard and Cousin are gonna be a formidable duo for the next few years.

swva_havok_fan 1,261 Report Share Posted October 8, 2018 ETSU is now 5-1 on the season and should be in the top 25 this week in FCS after a 45-0 beatdown of Gardner Webb over the weekend.
cavalieratmosphere 6 Author Report Share Posted October 13, 2018 Seems like Wise is starting to turn it around. They've won back-to-back games and are now 3-4 on the season In addition, ETSU just defeated the Citadel to go to 6-1.

Winner most likely wins the SoCon and gets an automatic bid to the FCS playoffs.
Hokie101 153 Report Share Posted October 15, 2018 All of ETSU's Socon wins are by 3 each game. Wins are wins and if they could get a bid into the playoffs in the new coaches first year that would be amazing.

Yeah, I saw the SoCon standings yesterday and didn't even realize that Wofford lost pretty handily to Furman Saturday. If ETSU can get Wofford, they in essence have a 2 game advantage over everyone except Mercer who they haven't played yet.
Hokie101 153 Report Share Posted October 16, 2018 I'd like to see them do it. I feel like the qb change has really helped them. Not sure why he lost the position in the first place but glad he got a second chance and seems to be taking full advantage of it. swva_havok_fan
