I recall the last time an 8-3 VT team came into Scott Stadium to face a 6-5 UVA team.

JDHoss 249 Report Share Posted November 12, 2017 8 hours ago, Ryan4VT said: Our broadcast station for Blacksburg football is outdoors. I was in shorts last night. It has to be below 25 before I even think about pants. I wear my shorts late in the season as well, but it was really nice sitting there with sandals and a short sleeved shirt to boot. Vero Beach has a great atmosphere for a Class 8A school. It's the only public high school for the city, and the home stands were full, and they had people on the visitors side as well. Poor Olympia probably didn't even have all the parents there. The concessions were interesting. The school operated two, but only sold drinks and snacks like candy bars, nuts, etc. but they had several food trucks surrounding one end zone. Wish we had waited to eat supper at the stadium. Could be precautionary but some stuff floating around social media suggest otherwise. From what I am being told this morning, Dougie is out for the remainder of the season with a broken foot. Hate to hear that for Dougie. That's a big loss for the Tide. How is his back up?
sixcat 2,919 Report Share Posted November 13, 2017 Blake Brown has been a 1,000 yard back for a couple of seasons. He has fell short of that this season, though. Keaton Beeman may be as much to blame for that as anything else. He is only a freshman but he is far beyond that with the pads on. If this kid gets a shot at significant carries, everyone will know who he is before the playoffs are over.

I'm not sure anyone has ever clearly defined "it" but he has whatever "it" is in spades! #33 is a freshman as well and they are both special talents for the Class 1 level. They both have brothers that will join them on varsity in two years. SWVAgridiron
