I was denied my epic heel style promo!  I am sad.  Lol.  But now it needs to be cut on the Satan board instead anyway.  :D

Oh I did it. It was 19 minutes long. But i cut it out. It was all over the place and just didn’t flow and I don’t need that stuff out there when I’m about to go on my first ever real job search.

No problem @Union_Fan! Even though we didn't get the outcome that we wanted, me and my father had a blast! Looking forward to making future trips to BSG!

Robert E. Lee is in Staunton. Wilson Memorial is in Fishersville about 5 miles east of Staunton on the other side of I-81. Riverheads is about 10 miles south of Staunton. You can see the school from I-81. It is not in Staunton, it is at Greenville although it is a Staunton post office address.

Thanks for sharing @Bluefield researcher.

I just read where Merril Gainer coached both Glynn Carlock and Joel Hicks at Big Creek.

Needless to say, the communities of Coalwood and War have produced some phenomenal people.

Merrill Gainer's legacy off the top of my head.  Joel Hicks did not graduate from Big Creek. He did not play for Merrill Gainer. He graduated from Richwood, WV. He did coach at Big Creek, Beckley and WVU (assistant) before Pulaski County

John Chmara - Bluefield - Fauquier (assistant coach)

Glynn Carlock - Graham (player and assistant coach under Gainer and Chmara)

Nick Colobro - Tazewell - Gate City (player)

Tim Sarver - Harrisonburg, Osbourn, Bath County (player)

Tom Farrell - Fauquier (played at Welch member of the 1963 undefeated team under Tony Colobro - assistant under Chmara)

Fred Simon - Bluefield (player and assistant coach under Chmara)

Dave Litz - Tazewell (player for Chmara)

Dave Rider - Tazewell (player at Big Creek)

JIm Hammond - Richlands (player at Big Creek)

Tom Buzzo - Liberty Bealeton - Brooke Point (player under Chmara)

John Lilly - Beckley, Shady Spring (player under Chmara)

Tony Palmer - Graham (player under Carlock)

Mario Poletti - Big Creek (player at Big Creek)

Carl Mams - Big Creek, George Wythe (assistant at Big Creek)

Jim Hickam - Pulaski High, Northside (player at Big Creek)

Barry Reed - Pocahontas and long time Coach and AD at Virginia High in other sports (played under Carlock)

Buster Large - J. I. Burton and current Bluefield basketball coach (played under Carlock)

Holy Cow, @Bluefield researcher .  You're amazing.

Did all these coaches play for Merrill Gainer or were some assistant coaches?

They are either first or 2nd generation coaches. They either played for him, coached under him before coaching elsewhere or played for coaches that coached or played under him (2nd generation such as coach Palmer is).
