Why is Caleb Tanner not listed in scoring average for a season or career and not listed in points for a season?

The lists I posted are straight from the records compiled by the late AP sportswriter Marshall Johnson.  His records were said to be updated through the 2009-10 school year.  Sadly, I don't know of anyone who has continued his work to update the records.

Thanks, @GMan.  I should've worded my post differently.  The VHSL has done a great job at keeping the top of the record books (e.g. 2000 pts + career, 800 pts + season, 500+ coaching wins).  Part of the beauty of Marshall Johnson's work was the depth of his records.  I find it interesting the accomplishments of those great players who didn't reach the milestones in the Book of Records (e.g. Talford's best season, Marsee's best game, Silver's career points). I guess I was lamenting the fact that I don't know of anyone who is tracking and publishing records to the extent of Marshall Johnson.

McClung needs 73 points to break Allen Iverson’s single season record in:

1 game:     73.00 ppg
2 games:     36.50 ppg
3 games:    24.34 ppg
4 games:    18.25 ppg
5 games:    14.60 ppg
6 games:    12.17 ppg
7 games:    10.43 ppg

McClung needs 267 points to break Caleb Tanner’s career scoring record in:

5 games:    53.40 ppg
6 games:    44.50 ppg
7 games:    38.15 ppg

Thanks for the helpful info! I think Mac breaks Iversons record...just don't know if he can beat Tanners record. If Mac can put up 50 on Richlands next game that would help a whole lot!

Man, I wish people would get mac’s numbers straight . He needs 247 to break alltime , not 267.

You may be correct.  There have been conflicting totals reported in the press.  The source I was quoting for his career points was WCYB.
