Always open, always smiling, always willing to talk about anything. Scott Vermillion finally gets that state title. One of the good people getting something good. Good for him. Good for Scott County. Good for Gate City - a more passionate prep sports town you won’t find.

Yeah, I think Mac McClung will do OK at Georgetown.

Anyone else notice that Vaughn wouldn't shake Mac's hand after the game? Classless.

Didn't see that, wasn't paying attention. His attitude during the game wasn't great, talking shit to Ervin and getting chippy once he realized he couldn't do anything against GC to slow them down.

That gives McClung 2801 points in his career (also a VHSL record) we understand, per the PA announcer here at the Siegel Center. #salute

What's at stake tonight for @bluedevilslive :
1. Their first boys basketball state championship in school history.
2. Mac is 17 points away from becoming the all-time leading scorer in Virginia history.
3. Coach Vermillion has 399 career wins, tonight could be #400

What makes this more impressive, McClung and Ervin played the entire game, no rest on the bench.

Dean played all 32 as well. He didn’t have a huge scoring game with only 3 points, but he had 4 assists and 10 BIG rebounds.
