Make no mistake, Graham’s not going to threaten for a SWD title, but this team isn’t likely to be a pushover like previous years’ teams.  Graham has a fairly solid core of young talent that can beat you if you overlook them.  I’d say the first winning record since 2005 is in play.

Not once the SWD games begin...Richlands, Tazewell, Virginia High, and Lebanon will likely beat Graham every time they take to the diamond...

Lebanon beat VHS last night for the first time since 2014 (I think)

Rematch tonight at Boyce Cox, likely the de-facto SWD Title Game

BRISTOL, Va. – Moments before Tuesday night's critical Southwest District baseball game at DeVault Stadium, Virginia High coach Mark Daniels honored the 400th career victory of counterpart Doc Adams by requesting – insisting – that the longtime Lebanon mentor throw out the ceremonial first pitch.

"And then he goes and beats my brains out," said Adams, who could only laugh at the monstrosity of Virginia High's 15-2 dominance of his Pioneers.

Some 24 hours earlier it was Lebanon which had dominated VHS to give Adams his milestone win, a 2-0 stunner on combined no-hitter by a pair of freshmen.
