  1. Today
  2. The principal has a kid named Isiah not sure if that who they are talking about. I put money on it being that one tho. Would be the old coaches nephew I hear New coach is a youth pastor at the principals church.
  3. Yesterday
  4. Wrong. He was put on administrative leave while they did an internal investigation and spoke to all parties. He was reinstated on Monday of this week, missing a district game and a weekend tournament in the process.
  5. Well, Bubba Edwards as the OC. No word on DC unless Ronnie takes it himself. I think he has experience as a DC. So the "top 3" positions could already be set. Edwards will be the QB coach...or at least he was at his previous stops. So, not sure of the LB, RB, DL, OL, etc. I thought there was some carry over from a few of last year's staff. I think Breeding returns as RB coach...not sure if he coaches defense. Also, I think Ronnie has OL experience...so maybe he works with that position on offense. That's a lot of work for one man, though.
  6. Turns out gobble does not have a 6 game suspension. Heard that he apparently just “took a leave of absence”
  7. Last week
  8. Yes, and hopefully a matching stadium soon to follow...
  9. The real question is will they go back to the under center wing T or switch it up and go full blown air raid
  10. Correct color. Looks great. Hopefully ours turns out as nice.
  11. https://x.com/RonnieD31346681/status/1782582167832293800 Richlands looking good.
  12. Who has a kid that will be Oc, principal or new coach
  13. Still nothing happening at THS on the football field. Lights have been installed at the softball field.
  14. Don't reach too much further. You might hurt yourself
  15. all in the family well except for.......
  16. You're right, physical abuse of a child is far less egregious than driving drunk. What was I thinking? /s I'll say it again because you seem to be pretty dense. Two wrongs don't make a right!!! Whataboutism has no place in the discussion of child abuse. By the way, justifying the physical abuse of a 15 year old kid based on something that happened in a college basketball game 32 years ago is pretty absurd!
  17. You know a situation is bad when your own brother in law is about to fire you and put his own kid in as an OC .
  18. You're right, a better analogy was the one with the Algebra teacher because using the drunk driving analogy was absurd.
  19. Appropriate behavior for public school employees when dealing with public school students, whether those students belong to them or not, is something that is clearly defined by state law within the public school ecosystem. Kevin Clifford was fired instantly from Patrick Henry - Roanoke more than 20 years ago for grabbing a football player in a similar fashion. Does a drunk driver get a pass when he crashes into a family of four because he's never crashed into anyone before? Maybe a better analogy, would the Algebra teacher be forgiven after grabbing a student by the chest, screaming in that students face, shaking them, and slap punch them in the back as they shove that student down the hallway? Why should rules differ because one is in a classroom setting while the other is on an athletic field? Rules are in place to handle these situations and shouldn't be ignored based on who the child/victim was or who the aggressor was. As I stated above, two wrongs never make a right!!! I'm not going to advocate on a meaningless message board for someone losing his job . But if I were a member of that community, I would be questioning those elected to govern the public school system in Bristol pretty hard.
  20. The video I posted is full of 18, 19, and 20 year old boys. Not "grown men". Has Gobble had a history of doing things like that with players that aren't his son? Him grabbing his son by his jersey and getting into his face for acting like a jackwagon isn't like the Woody Hayes incident, or the incident at Ridgeview last year. There was no violence whatsoever in the video of Gobble.

  22. Whataboutism has no place in this conversation. Two wrongs never make a right. And neither wrong should be ignored because one is slightly less egregious than the other.
