I actually just posted that to start a war haha but in all reality, there’s no way that Goochland beats the same Graham team that played Saturday. I’ve gotten to watch a lot of good football teams this season and Radford is a very good team and Graham made them look like a 1-12 team, not a 12-1 team. Graham’s performance is the best I’ve seen from any team this season. G-Men leave Salem with a 10-point victory.

These little extended forecast graphics from various sites and apps show a forecast simulation from a constantly changing model. The disturbances to promote this storm system and the set up aren't anywhere near yet. The only thing that looks fairly certain is a storm system will likely develop somewhere across the deep south and track through the southeast and mid-Atlantic region this weekend...details aren't close to being known. When GMan's joints ache...be concerned 😄

And to all the Graham fans on here, do what you can to encourage your fan base to show up because it’s disappointing. Do a fan bus if you need to. Goochland typically brings a big and loud crowd and that can be a difference maker.

Point taken, absolutely not every fan. My apologies for lumping all fans together. It's a shame the disgruntled were most vocal. I even had people that I know personally and are friends with on FB who for all practical purposes are good, rational folks , post crazy ridiculousness. To be honest, every team has "those" types of fans.

I just found out that coach Dixon from Galax lost his father Friday night before the game!! Wow, I am amazed that the man could pull himself together to be at the game. Between this news and his interview with Coalfield last week, my respect for him went way up. Prayers for him and his family.

For those whom may be interested there are 2 All Stars games December 15th. The VHSL game at UVA Wise and the FCA East-West game at Emory.

Well, I got me a little flask just in case it gets to cold, or we lose, or now that I think about, if we win, the flask will be empty by the end of the fourth. I'm more worried about a pat down. Real men don't carry their flasks in a bag, they carry their flasks in their groin in order not to be caught at the gate, and in order to not have to share with anyone else.

VHSLgame use to be in the summer. A few yrs ago they switched to a winter format.

Correct Disibbio wore #35 and he joined Graham's staff last year. He and Dews were Sophomores during the '95 season. So was Charlie Tynes and I'm not sure how much he got to play that year because of all the other talent they had. Set up nicely for them as seniors in '97 to go 14-0 and win Bluefield's first AA title that season. I had the same thought after the semi-final games when I saw we were going to play the 16 seed. I was at City Park hanging out with friends and turned to my cousin and said: "Man, we got this!" I'm pulling for Graham to bring home a state football championship to Bluefield VA. I agree. It is sad how a few can make a community look bad but all in all most of the fans in this community just want to support the players. I just want people to know that this is all about the team and to look over the petty stuff from past weeks. The ones that make the most noise are usually the ones that don't even have a dog in the fight. Let's just bring 2 state titles back to SWVA.

Searched Chilhowie Football Field on Facebook. They should be embarrassed! Blaming Galax accusing VHSL of showing favoritism to visiting team. Everyone will remember their pettiness and whining over a game they could have won just as easily at E & H. I still want them to bring 1A title home to SWVA especially for their players but their fan base is as you said ridiculous!

Yeah I hated that for Isabelle. I remember during the games I listened to on the radio that year if I recall the Bluefield announcers nicknamed Isabelle the "Bull" and Dews the "Moose" lol because they would just plow over people and they were quick. I thought the Beavers were so invincible after that win over Poca in the semifinal that year and that they would just plow over Musselman. #35 was Dissibio if I'm correct and I didn't know he was an assistant for Graham. Good for him and best of luck to him and the G-Men Saturday!

I was at that game. My first trip to Wheeling to watch Bluefield in a state title game. It was shocking to watch the Beavers fail to field the ball on the opening kickoff. Mussleman recovered it inside the five and eventually scored to put the Beavers down early and Bluefield never could get into a flow to win the game. Denero Marriott was a WR/DB on the Applemen who went on the play at Marshall. I hated it for future Parade AA, Yubrenal Isabelle since that was the only title game he played in and it turned out to be a loss. # 35 out there for Bluefield is an assistant on Graham's staff this year. My niece's husband was a freshman on that 1995 Bluefield squad! He and I discussed that particular year at length this past Thanksgiving! Talking about deja vu! I was hoping and praying for a Bluefield victory this past Friday. I only pull against Bluefield in football one time a year .... and you know when that is! 😉 Hopefully, Graham will bring back the VHSL state title on Saturday night and both communities can wake up on Sunday morning with a little more hardware and a lot more pride! #twincities #bluefieldbeavers #grahamgmen

This is why this board is so good. Everyone gets to voice an opinon. I like to look at facts so Chilhowie has 20 srs that has started a bunch of games and 3-4 of them have been big games. Riverheads has 17 srs and although they have not played in as many games they are going to their 4th straight state title game. Advantage Riverheads. Chilhowie has a tremendous defense you don't go through a long season and not be great when you give up 91 points. Riverheads gets a lot of comments on their offense but if you ask anyone on that end of the state they talk about their defense. In this area I think teams are even (more) on this in a moment. Offensivley Chilhowie has been good with a bunch of weapons although on this level I think Cale and Sanchez are the work horses. The other guys are role players at best. The wild card is Branson. That kid is a man he gets a bunch of credit and well deserved for his defensive play but when he gets a few touches he is hard to tackle. He needs to be involved more. Now on the Riverheads offense. It is power run and they are known for it. Chilhowie this year played 9 of 10 teams that were spread type of offense only Patrick Henry ran the ball. The offense at PH is similar to Riverheads but not close in efficincy. PH scored 23 points and had 290 yards on offense on the first team. that to me is a risk factor for the Chilhowie faithful. Slight advantage Riverheads. Intangibles- Chilhowie is hungry and determined and after last years game not sure Riverheads will have the same fire. Advantage Chilhowie I think it is a classic hard hitting game and Riverheads scores late to pull away 28-14. Good luck to the Warriors as SW VA needs a state Title.
