  1. Just saw this on the GA HS Sports Board: https://www.independentmail.com/story/sports/2019/06/17/high-school-coach-jeff-herron-announces-retirement-t-l-hanna-football-anderson-sc/1475673001/ excerpt: Jeff Herron never knew how hard it would be to walk away – until he did. After 37 years of coaching, the last two of those years at T.L. Hanna High School, Herron announced his retirement on Monday morning. I watched Herron coach in the SC FB 5A Championship game against Dutch Fork held at University of South Carolina last year. ( I watched on the NFHS network and the broadcast of the game was night and day difference to other HS games I've previously viewed on the NFHS . I'm guessing, the broadcasting capabilities in the USC Stadium are much more sophisticated than some of the smaller venues ) (Former Gate City alum and E&H football player)

  2. That's what I mean, the sports I listed would be included in the facility but not baseball or football...

I don't disagree but like any uprising, "movements" have to begin somewhere. While neither example you give is socially acceptable, they do deserve a very different punishment. My issue is, like anything else in modern society (including your example), a movement intended to give voice to and empower women has been perverted for political gain. Differentiating between the two isn't terribly difficult but most people are too lazy to do so. They would rather take the silly Facebook meme and believe it as absolute truth. Groupthink is an epidemic in our society!

The perception (steaming from the Kavanaugh hearings and other public examples) is that women "aren't believed", and nothing could be further from the truth but young women seem to be getting this idea that they shouldn't report these types of things(rape, inappropriate touching, suggestive comments, assault, etc) because they wont be believed. There is also a HUGE difference between an accuser being believed and a accused perpetrator being proven guilty. I read some of those comments on social media regarding the young lady speaking at the school board meeting the other day, "no one believes her" and "the powers that be don't believe her" when that's not necessarily whats going on. The sad truth is claims need to be investigated 100% of the time, but that doesn't mean that convictions will occur 100% of the time, and the accused cant be punished based on accusations - removal from a teaching position based on accusations is a different situation than being found criminally liable

    Top returning players

Heard Central has a lot of size this year. They are playing great in team camps and playing as a team. With Hayes and Isaiah both on the floor, they will be hard to stop. Also have a lot of size under the goal.. Better watch out for the Warriors this year!!

Guys, if he was saying sexual stuff to high school girls, he deserves to be fired. End of story. This isn't about #MeToo or anything else, it's about protecting young girls from being sexually harassed or objectified by a teacher or someone in authority. It's not appropriate and it's not okay. If he didnt, then he has every right to defend himself. But the number one concern shouldn't be his job or status as a football coach, it should be keeping creeps or worse out of schools and away from young people.
