This is why Princeton is a losing football program among other issues. I recall in 2017 I believe, when during the WVSSAC football playoffs their was a possibility that Bluefield was going to have to play their game at Princeton due to Bluefield College having a scheduled game at Mitchell at the same time. Fortunately the issue was resolved and it didn't happen. I had a friend on Facebook say that Princeton almost achieved their ultimate dream of hosting a home playoff game. I thought that was funny.

I believe it is because they don't play enough AAA schools. The WVSSAC mandates that you must play at least six teams that are in the same classification or higher as you. Princeton has five AA schools on there schedule this year. The AA schools are Bluefield, Oak Hill, Tazewell, Graham, and James Monroe.

I remember kelly playing abingdon in the late 90s, like 98 ??? And losing. Central has never beat Abingdon and it's never been particularly close.

My friend was making a reference that the only way Princeton can host a playoff game is when other teams use there stadium. Princeton went 1-9 last year so they didn't make the playoffs, and on rare occasions that they do, it is always on the road due to their low seedings in the playoffs.

They hosted two home playoff games last year!

Nobody from GC is satisfied with 1 win this year but the fact that who that 1 win was over and how GC has competed in most of the games thus far is reason to be excited. The reason the kid you seem to have a problem with has to come out for a break is he plays the whole game. They have no depth which is a sign of the struggles they will have next year. Go back to the Richlands game and tell me who’s hands the ball was in the 4th quarter. First down after first down and about 8 minutes later, TD. That ended up being the game winner before the comeback Richlands made and GC picked off the pass. The qb has had opportunities to run the ball. GC has threats with Jenkins on the outside and Calhoun on the inside. They ALL are playing where they should and it shows with the competitiveness on the field. Just my opinion.

I haven't seen any film on Ike's injury. When you watch the film on Chance's injury it appears the Princeton player offered a few words after the play. I have also heard that he did in fact talk some trash afterwards. Which to me makes the intent appear to be on purpose. "Horse collar" tackles happen every Friday night and thankfully they happen without injury. There is a reason they aren't allowed and Chance is a perfect example as to why. With that said, when a student or group of students make statements on social media like Princeton has that takes this to a whole different level. The Graham transfer portal comment is actually pretty funny. The sign, the comment, and the picture is totally uncalled for.

And they probably wonder why Edwards transferred.

I'm an ATL Braves Fan. I've lived in metro ATL for over 30 years, however, I was an ATL Braves fan before moving to the area . My parents were faithful Braves fans, because of Ted Turner and his TBS station broadcasting the games and the signal reaching far and wide. My parents came to visit and I got to take them to a Braves game in Fulton County Stadium...good seats and they enjoyed seeing live the team they always watched on TV. The game I'll always remember, my company gave me two tickets to the 1992 NLCS Atlanta Braves vs. Pittsburgh Pirates Game 7... the famous Sid Bream SLIDE...the stadium erupting and the fans probably moving the Richter scale at that moment. Also, remembering vividly looking out on the field and seeing Barry Bonds just slumping in the outfield. The celebration outside of the stadium when walking out was just as wild as it had been in the stadium. Looking forward to the playoff series with the Cards...GO Braves!!! BTW, the temp here today....98...

They broke Ike Johnson's ankle when they played Bluefield. They took our Chance Harris from Tazewell when they played. They take pride in this. A team is a reflection of their coach and a school is a reflection of their principal. The school system is a reflection of its superintendent, Dr. Deborah Akers. There is a major issue!!!
