Was really worried about this game. Nothing but respect for Gate City players, fans, and program altogether. Kids played hard to the end, and the fans cheered the whole way thru. Even the band kept playing long after the final whistle. You guys have always been the gold standard of what SWVA football is all about. Best of luck going forward! I'll definitely be cheering for you guys.

Sir, this is repulsive. I couldn’t be more disappointed in you, this cartoon and your posting of it on a family message board. How does this promote harmony? You, someone I consider a friend has violated the trust of this community. This is degrading and I expect you to issue a complete and full apology. We would not stand for this type of behavior when I was in school. This younger generation proves it has no respect for others or themselves.

Richlands is 2-3 against the toughest 4 game streak in the state. Tazewell is 4-1, which is impressive given the injures. Jordan was ejected against Honaker so he won’t be available for the Dawgs unless an appeal is won. Gonna be packed at Bulldogs Stadium.

Honaker not a bad team. Richlands, still not sure what they have but will be tough regardless. Bluefield will be a killer but have to make best efforts. Considering injuries they are doing quite well. Have come a long way from past several years and dog mania is back in town again!

Class of the East is Buckingham and Stuart's Draft. Clarke County and Poqouson are equally as good as Thomas Jefferson. Look for Buckingham County to play in the state title game.

The best in 2C at seasons start was Radford. By game 12 or 13, an old foe named Appo will be that team. Actually, probably already is that team at this point in the season. Week by week, they are improving. The talent level at Appo is incredible and they have a huge ceiling for improvement as they mature. Look for Appo to come out of Region C.

Ahhh I gotcha

I don’t know how to look at it. On one hand, they’re 4-1 with the injuries and that’s also impressively. BUT, who have they really played? Graham was the best team, and they proved it. VHS is 0-5. Princeton is 1-4. Mt. View is 2-3. Honaker is 3-2 but those 3 wins aren’t really impressive. Not sure if it’s a record built on a house of cards or if it’s just a good team beating the teams they should. Looking forward to Friday for sure.

Radford has some speed. And their D is big. But they can’t throw very well and if you get up, they start to panic.

If Union can't clean up the personal fouls and extra curricular stuff on defense, they are gonna keep having these issues. Three Tiger drives extended by silly penalties, two led to TDs and the third looked like a Paintsville TD until they fumbled. One call was extremely iffy, an unsportsmanlike call on a DB who clapped, but the others were cut and dry. I don't understand it, if this was the first time it would be one thing but it's been an issue for the season. A call last week extended a GC TD drive and tonight they were just killers. I question a few coaching things, schematic wise, but it was mental mistakes that cost the Bears tonight and Paintsville made them pay. Union had their chances, but Paintsville was a very good team and you don't beat good teams making so many mistakes. Tigers were huge up front, especially on defense, having three kids likely over three bills and they had explosive athletes at the skill positions. But Union was able to move the ball, just couldn't finish and couldn't get off the field on defense. And a very, very tough injury tonight. One of my absolute favorite players to watch, he is the epitome of a football player and he will be sorely missed.

G-Men are gonna be seeing yellow flags in their sleep tonight.

Paintsville really is that good. I would say their D is better than Graham and offense about the same. But Union killed themselves with personal fouls. Led directly to 2 Tiger TDs.
