  1. Yeah there is no Golden Trophy or a million dollar prize but I think the most fulfilling prize that came from it was seeing the community and surrounding communities comes together to achieve a common goal. Refreshing to see countless number of people engage on social media without the usual divisive political and social issue arguments but to work together. For a few days Gmen, Beavers, Bulldogs, Tigers, Blue Tornados, Republicans, Democrats, Black, White, Young, Old, etc came together and achieved something they wanted. If the folks in Washington, DC could do the same just a few days out of the year this country would be much better off.

  3. I voted as well because it's our area... but Mitchell has a great field and great seating. However, the concessions and bathrooms are abysmal. The bathrooms rival Bullitt Park as far as worst bathrooms in our area.

  4. Union is 7-2, likely to be 8-2 and is about to win the district, again. Personally, I think it’s the best coaching job Travis has done to this point in his career. Kudos to the whole staff and the players for getting to this point. Program is averaging like nine wins a season. My take: If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

  7. It’s things like this that bring in some tourism dollars. There will be a few people come to Mitchell Stadium who otherwise wouldn’t have. They’ll spend money here. Hopefully they’ll have a good time and come back.

  9. I like the stadium as far as the field and seating. Not a bad seat really but the concession stand and restrooms need a complete renovation. There really aren't many local high school stadiums where the restrooms are nice to be honest. Mitchell at least has a visitors locker room some schools around here cannot even boast that. Mitchell has great handicap seating where most places build a ramp & say done.

  11. It definitely does but look at what routinely goes on in other states, our current system isnt too bad and it seems like ultimately things work out the way they should

It has to be bottom up. Daddy ball is always gonna be a thing (who else is gonna volunteer that much?) but the program and ultimately the kids have to come first.

  13. I don't support a wholesale QB change, especially at this point, but I think having Lester run ~10 plays in a game at QB is a good idea. Some read option stuff and some RPO looks could open up the field.

  14. It may not be my hometown stadium. All I can say is "we are the champions, my friends".

  15. They now use that as the official's dressing room. Moved it from the back of the home side dressing room. You only need it one or two times a year but boy do they need it then!

  16. Two things here. Why did they stop using the concession booth at the other end of the stadium? Kind of makes a dead area of the stadium. As far as improvements, I think about everywhere can work on something. Love Honaker stadium but could do better on bathroom and concessions. Thought Princeton was a very nice stadium but the lighting sucks horribly in the stands. Of course some stadiums are just better left unmentioned...

  17. Shut up you dork. I know how you really feel about the offense and then you get on here and lick the boot. Expectations were low this year and the team has overachieved, proving they can beat the best teams around. But if they hope to repeat those feats, the offense has to evolve since losing Lomax and Guerrant being hurt.

  18. Just don't see Honaker having a shot in this one. Ridgeview rolls and Honaker waits and sees about their playoff prospects.

  19. Let's not get crazy. That's 22 year olds vs. sometimes 14 and 15 year olds. No high school will beat a college team. Even the bad ones. Just like Alabama or LSU couldn't beat Miami.

  20. The thing that is funny is both high school teams could beat the college team!

  21. Great coaching by the whole staff this season. I think we’re all just hoping they get a little more creative on offense. But you hit the nail on the head sir

  23. i agree. we ran bubble screens and some slants first couple games but havent ran them since. rasnick lester and both jenkins kids can do damage in space but here latley its all pollier. i still think pollier needs 20 carries a game but those other kids can help open up the offense if the coaches would jus give them a chance.

  24. Right now we're not keeping the defenses honest. I'd give anything to see us work the middle some, maybe even some screens-something other than the vanilla O we've ran all year. It's not like we don't have any speed.

  25. who would you put at qb? i think hes done a decent job for a kid that got throwed out there because another kid transfered. hes had some bad games yes but hes also a big reason were 7 and2 instead of 5 and4. the qb is not the only thing thats wrong with the offense or passing game

I'm glad to see a discussion.. I have said time n time again rec ball is Daddy n son ball or $$ rules...Tim is a great guy,Great guys aren't always great head coaches..Palmer at PH had to deal with alot his first years..But look now..9-0 best season since 97... We just need alot of changes at the lower level and the community needs to step up like they have in years past.
