  1. 1:00 PM. Catch it on NFHS, or for extra listening pleasure, sync that to the Tazewell Bulldog Radio Network.

  2. Gotta love the band doing the war chant and tomahawk chop. Because...Bulldogs and G-Men do that:)

  3. Since the Graham/Tazewell thread is locked will post my thoughts here. #11, T.J. Rasnick holds a special place in my heart. To me, he was the epitome of Tazewell football. I can remember the cold cold snowy day at Bulldog Stadium in 2008 when T.J. and the Dawgs were playing Richlands for the championship. I was rooting for the Blues, but every time T.J. was involved in a play my heart was rooting for him. Eleven years ago today, #11 released his earthly bonds, sickness and pain were no more. So in honor of my "buddy" I hope the Dawgs can score the win today for #11.

  8. Not sure but they're very experienced. That group been starting at least three years now. For a team with zero size, they sure smashed Union at LOS again this year. Watching it happen is wild, doesn't make much sense but those smaller kiðs pushed Union around.

  9. Kudos to Tazewell, they played hard and keep Graham in check. They are powerful! That was a thrilling game to say the least.

  10. Wow. What a game. Congrats to Graham.

  11. No, not successful in the middle of the field from 11 yds out when Tazewell is expecting a pass to the endzone. You run the ball and kick the FG to win the game. At the very least, you tell your QB unless he's 100 sure, do not throw the ball. That's coaching brother.

  12. Officials are taking this game over. Have done a great job, and now call an ill advised PF on Tazewell. Two game changing penalties for both teams in which I didn't see the need for a flag on either call.

  13. Brody Meadows just showed why he's Major Div 1 on the Graham TD run. Two Tazewell defenders including one defensive tackle pancaked.

  14. Touchdown Graham. Fritz 14 yard run after a blocked punt (that may have been offside). XP blocked. 10-6 Tazewell.

  15. Great game so far. I had Tazewell winning the game by 3 points in the Tazewell thread. Tazewell in my opinion, and contrary to what I thought and contrary to the Graham announcers, has not dominated the line of scrimmage on Graham. I think Graham has played them even up on the line of scrimmage and its a draw. The difference in the game has been the one athletic play by Tazewell and exactly what I touched on with Graham, that they would have a problem in the passing game with tighter coverage, and what would the QB do in that situation. Do you throw the ball up in the air or in triple coverage, or throw it away or tuck and run. The game has been a very good one, but I think Graham has held it's own on the line against Tazewell. The problem for Graham is......Tazewell has held its own against them on the line, and they are BLANKETING Graham in coverage in the passing game and Tazewell's WR's are MUCH more wide open than Grahams.

    Central @ Union

I will go respectful different direction. I think they can. I am amazed with how well Central is coached. They seem to me to be coached at a level beyond the overwhelming majority of their opponents. The blocking is textbook. The positioning on defense is textbook. A team like Central that can truly run it well and run it when they have to and play great run defense is a threat. I favor Graham slightly, but not by over 7 points. Tazewell, I would call it equal. Central matches up better with Graham than Tazewell. The size difference can wear on you and in a smashmouth run type game, Tazewell will be very tough to beat.

  20. I’m not sure there’s any real tangible psychological advantage there. If anything, it favors the more experienced team in general, which is Tazewell. I’m willing to call that a draw. The field is in the best condition I’ve ever seen it, so I’m not sure it’s going to break down with all the rain. Both teams would prefer to run the ball before slinging it, so it’s not as if grip would be that big an issue.

  25. A little history on Central's win at Bullit Park last night.... 1984 was the last time Pound won at Bullit Park, 2008 and 1978 JJK won at Bullit Park, Central had never won at Bullit Park. Tells you how special that place is.

  28. 5 seniors that start, 3 that don't play much, a bunch of juniors and sophomores. Zero seniors on the offensive line.

  29. I watched Central vs Union tonight, two things are very clear, Union has very young talent but the weight room needs to be used more, Central’s line pushed us around all night, 2nd Central has talent everywhere but seems to get a bit lazy when they get a lead, they could make a deep playoff push but they need to really work all 4 quarters , no tomorrows in the playoffs

  30. Holston leads RR 22-21 in the 3rd. If this announcer says "calls his own number" or "chopped down" one more time, I'm going to lose my mind.
