He’s been Graham’s MVP this season. Take him away, I’m not sure Graham’s even a playoff team. He takes so much focus away from Bradshaw and allows him to excel as he does.

The new sports guy on WVVA called Graham's girls basketball team the "Lady G men". Instead of G girls.

I won't diverge details but anybody that knows the whole story about his ordeal from post tear to surgery makes it that much more remarkable in my opinion.

This thread has taken more turns than a Watkins Glen road course. So why not add another. Why has there not been any type of wvva story or BDT article on Chancellor? If there has been I apologize. What this kid bounced back from with his knee is pretty darn remarkable if you ask me. He worked his butt off just for one more shot at playing football. Not only has he made it back he's still good and fun to watch.

Meadows is definitely D1 material, probably most legit D1 prospect in Region D. He’s a hard worker and it shows. Lots of kids get D1 offers but don’t have the work ethic to play at that level. Talent can get you by in high school sometimes without much effort but talent alone won’t carry a kid on the next level. Meadows has talent and works hard.

Bradshaw had an offer from Notre Dame, so I would say they know a thing or 2 about D1 talent.

This will probably ruffle alot of feathers but the only kid with anything close to D1 talent in Region D is Meadows from Graham. That's just my opinion.

Fritz is a tough kid and solid High School Running back, but when we are talking about Lucas, this is a kid with major D1 offers including 1 BCS school offer. Hard to compete with those credentials.

Thats a good question. I don't know enough about the Abingdon kid to say one way or the other. Like @Real Sasquatch said Fritz has really good balance. He's a 4x State Champion in wrestling and he has 2018 football ring as well. Football is the ultimate TEAM sport and I dont like bragging too much on particular kids but he's a workhorse. *****No I'm not his dad lol

I agree with that. Meadows blows people off the ball and pushes them downfield. Often, even when double teamed, he gets the better of the situation. He and Jackson have been creating huge holes and Fritz is hard to bring down. He is very shifty, has great balance and very strong. Graham can keep themselves in any game by wearing down their opponenta with the running game as the playoffs go on.

I will be surprised if this is closer than 2 tds in favor of Graham.

The whole deal with the colors was that the combined schools weren't supposed to have any of the older schools colors... that sure didn't happen with Central... kept pound and jjk colors. I felt like the Copperheads would have been cool with copper/white/black color scheme. A shiny copper helmet akin to Notre Dame, with black uniforms would have been beastly.

Didn't like Union at first but it was more creative than Central and Eastside i guess. Appy Valley BullVikes just wasn't meant to be.

This really became hilarious as they had Radford scheduled which got cancelled and then Radford was available and they wouldn't play them even though it would be in district and could get points with a victory. I'm sure Richlands wishes Carroll would have played Radford.

Agree with you, but in order to do that, you have to call running plays instead of pass plays when a situation is kind of a 50/50 down, pass or run. Graham in those 50/50 type run or pass situations often chooses pass over run and that almost cost them big time at Tazewell.

Tornado does makes more sense, I just always wondered why it said Tornadoes before.

Blues is just a shortened name lol. But it’s Blue Tornado similar to how Stanford are the Cardinal. One singular unit with no plural version. It will 1000% be a long night if they don’t stops feeling sorry for themselves. I have a feeling the seniors will have them fired up and ready to play. But I’ve been wrong plenty before.

So why do people say the “Blues” in reference to Richlands? By your reasoning, they should just say “Blue” but whatever makes you feel better. A long night for the Blue “Tornado “ then, feel better? 😂😂😂😂

He’s there until he can move on. I see him wanting to coach at college level, maybe UVA-Wise??? No one has said that, that’s merely speculation on my part. If Richlands doesn’t have some phenomenal seasons under him though, would he even get an offer at the collegiate level??? Without Cole Beck I don’t think he’d won the state title at Blacksburg. I really don’t see talent coming up that will get him a state title at Richlands. I could be wrong & wouldn’t be the first time.

He is really good. @jonah58I said I think Central could be a dangerous team. Graham and Union isn’t a done deal either. I am not saying tazewell will win. I was saying as a fan it would be cool to see a rematch graham and tazewell. All respect to Central. They got highlight players.

I agree 100 percent @Gridiron60 that’s why I went back and said central is +fast. Going to be tough for the dogs. I believe in them.

My opinion counts for far less than theirs, but I just don't see it. However, it doesn't matter if I do or not. I just don't see the type of impact I saw from the Jones Brothers, Beasley, Miller, etc. But I am often wrong. I do feel that sometimes family history and last names open more doors, and that's in everything.

Riddle me this? When has this Tazewell team been there before? No one can afford to look ahead, one game at a time. Tazewell has a lot more age on Graham so yes, veteran team. Central has some veteran players who have been there before though. They’ll be tough. Hoping the Dawgs and Graham can bring home a win for SWD but have to get by Union & Central first.

I'm glad to see someone else is willing to give Fritz some credit. Im sure I'll catch some grief for this but IMHO he's the best back we've had since Jamorya.

I don't see this Graham team using the quarantine as an excuse. I could see the first half being a little sloppy but after that I think they'll settle in and be good to go. 3 days of practice obviously isn't the ideal situation to be in especially against Union. I cant wait for Saturday to get here! These two teams seem to always put on a good show.

We are obviously on different pages terminology-wise, but that happens. No worries here. It all comes down to blocking and tackling in the end anyway.

Keep in mind the Mount View team that beat Bluefield 21-0 had as much talent as Bluefield that year although the record was bad the talent was there and had Isabelle and the others not got on tv and made those comments they made Bluefield probably would've won,because MV wasn't playing to their potential. Most of the MV players on that team were on the team the year before that missed making their 2nd straight AAA championship game by 1 game with a heart breaking loss to wheeling central.

Three days of practice. That's funny. I don't think a quarantine ever took place. They should be ready to destroy Union. They had two weeks to prepare. Go G-Men!
