That matchup may never happen again this season. I do think Graham's defense has improved a bunch. I stated earlier in the year that Graham's defense had the "potential" to be nasty. The new faces were athletic, but needed to learn their roles and get better at tackling. I think that is happening for them now. Also, I believe Bradshaw takes a bigger role in the playoffs. He has been used sparingly all season. He is Graham's ace in the hole.

I assume the brackets play out without rebracketing until the regional finals when the team with the highest power point total hosts. That's the simplest and most logical way to do it

9 minutes left in the second qtr, No Way Nottoway (Tazewell,circa 1986) leads Randolph Henry 36 to nothing. Watching this one on NFHS, Nottoway to me looks like Appomattox in different uni's, minus the solid coaching. They are very big, quick, strong, and fast. Probably going to be some kind of a football game if Nottoway and King William meet in that Class 2, Region A title game down east.

Very windy here at Mitchell Stadium. I got here just before Graham went back to the locker room. Looked like some receivers had a tough time hanging on to the ball. I'll probably look for a lot of running tonight. Hopefully there will be a running clock by halftime so we can get out of here at a decent time. Gotta work in the morning. I don't think it would be a blowout either, but keep in mind, Graham has also really hit the gas in improvement, perhaps second only to the Beavers in improvement. Central is also up there, but Graham also had some super talented, but inexperienced lineman to start the season, and their line has really taken off. A nasty line that doesn't look the same and I'm now to the point that if Graham and Union play again, I'm not sold Union is rushing it for over 150 yards. Union is going to be greatly surprised, if the two play again, in Grahams line. It's not going to be the same bunch they remembered from early in the year.

The only time I seen a team that would have a chance at winning a state title in multiple classes would have been the Appomattox team in 2016 I thinks the year....they were very good...I did say that I've seen with my own eyes so I'm sure they probably have been more.but that Appomattox team was the best team I seen .

Absolutely the best visiting team hospitality in the area. My son played 4 games there (2 Varsity, 1 JV and 1 Freshman) they fed the players ever time and gave them gifts one time. Crockett lost D1 and FCS talent (Prince Collie is at Notre Dame) they are decent but not great but really well coached. The weather will play a factor but Crockett should win by a 7-10 point margin.

I would assume that until it's Down to championship, it'll be higher district seed hosting and higher pp for final.

In basketball and other sports, given your scenario, Tazewell would then take Union's position in the bracket, but not their seed. Tazewell would then play Ridgeview at Ridgeview. Graham would host Central. I could be completely wrong though.

After film, it looks as if union does have a 3 man front, outside guys on line are lbs. If they can get back to what they do well, make people adapt for them on both sides of the ball then it could be a very interesting game. I like the fact that winning the district does have a little more importance this season. Good luck to both.

Dan River refused to move that game (I forget what hurricane it was that came through). They knew that with the style of football they played and the wet field slowing us down that the soaked field and driving rain would play into their favor. That and we were missing our best lineman and #26 Delonte Kelso that game which helped allowed the score to stay close. We kicked a 40+ yard FG in that rain too. Special teams baby!! In saying all that, DR was good, I think they were looking past Union to a rematch with us. There were articles in the paper about the possible rematch.
