Bluefield travels to up to Sophia, WV to take on Independence this week. The Beavers got their first win this week and sit at 1-4. Indy is ranked #3 in WV AA and have outscored their opponents 300-8. Bluefield has played a fairly tough schedule so far and Indy has stormed through cupcakes like a hungry fat guy. This will be Indy's toughest test so far inspite of Bluefield's record, however, I think Indy will score often and win this game 43-12.

That definitely explains running it then. I think some people just want to hate on Tarter, period. Personally, I’d walk away given all the negative energy some ex coaches are causing but I don’t think Tarter won’t abandon those boys like Wells.

I personally think Tarter is doing the best he can with what he's got. They're steadily improving & it's not a knock on the players, they're obviously working hard, it's just not a talent loaded team as in past years. I'm really not understanding all the hate directed at Tarter from some on this board.

RV won 40-14 but it really wasn’t that close. They had two TDs taken off the board by penalties, fumbled into the end zone for a touchback and fired a bad snap 14 yards behind the QB while on the Lee three yard line. They’ve got a good mix of running, deep shots to Beavers and Counts and working Hill underneath in the LBs. O’Quinn creates such problems in the run game. They have to stop shooting their selves in the foot, though. They took 28 points off the board tonight. I still don’t feel like the RV coaching staff has their horse in front of the cart. Why in the hell do they go four wide and then run the QB over to the sideline to get the play? Why don’t they try to isolate their big play WRs on single coverage. Time mgt and play calling seem like a big struggle. Man….a lot of coaches around the region would love to have that talent though.

Awful performance from Union tonight. GC outplayed them in nearly every facet of the game. Embarrassing really, and every bit of it falls on the coaching staff. GC earned this victory tonight. They have made huge strides since the Richlands game. As usual, the Bears are in their mid season regression. Hat's off to the Blue Devils.

Through 5 games. Is 5-0. Leads opponents by a score of 300-8. That's an average score for 5 games of 60 to 1.6. Yes, schedule has been week, but still, that's historical type stuff if it persisted.

Graham came up with the win but have some work to do. Galax was able to run up the middle and push our line back. Linebacker play needs to improve tremendously. Two games in a row that they’ve struggled and allowed yardage up the middle. Didn’t see that get corrected from last week. Still several trying to tackle up high

Our special teams slightly improved over last week but they’re still on the struggle bus so to speak. I’m not sure why they’re lining up four on one side, six on the other. It’s not working out very well IMO. At this point if they can’t make significant improvements, I’d kick it as far as I could out of bounds & eat the five yard penalty, probably not a popular opinion but we’re not stopping the return very effectively and it could cost us in a tight game.

For sure, the best O-Line that Graham has faced thus far. Graham seems to always struggle against Galax's running game. It looks like Shane Allen is keeping the same type of blocking schemes that Dixon was so good at. Graham has been bending, but not breaking against the run over the last couple of weeks. Hopefully, they will get that shored up. Seems like their linebackers play too close to the line and get caught up in all the traffic. But, what do I know. Galax blocks very well and has for several years now. For two weeks in a row, Graham has been a more balanced team then their opponents. If Graham wasn't able to pass the ball effectively, they very well could have lost both of these last 2 weeks. I was definitely impressed with the RB from Galax, he was a bruiser. Special teams needs to pick it up for Graham. They are giving up too many big returns and twice on kickoffs last night, they looked like they didn't want to pick up the ball. Not sure what was going on there. That will be the difference between a win and a loss in a big tame.

Kudos to Galax too! I think you played well. You’re one guy Tucker I think is his name, a workhorse. You’re O line is strong too! I’m no coach but I’d say the best line we’ve played.

Galax backup running back scored on Graham's backups, does it really matter? Y'all won the game, everyone that was there knows Graham was better. Both teams have some work to do if they want to make a run in my opinion. After all I read on here I didn't think Graham would have to pass as much as they did but everyone knows Galax weakness on defense is the secondary. Galax passing game still nonexistent but at least they completed a few last night. Of the three class two teams I've seen this year that were picked to make some noise come playoff time( Glenvar, Radford, Graham ) Radford was the most impressive talent wise but Graham is still solid and better coached in my opinion and I hope these two meet in the playoffs. I think Graham can definitely run the ball on Radford but I don't see them passing like they did against Galax on them, not saying they will not complete passes but it will be tougher to do so. If you give Radford's QB time he is going to complete some big pass plays. Intriguing matchup if it happens.

Princeton is way better this year. I think the Tigers are the 5th best in WV AAA, anywhere from 5 to 7th. Princeton wins game 1 of the playoffs imo, but in round 2 which is the round of 8 trying to advance to the final 4, they lose fairly close. Keep your eyes on Princeton vs Bridgeport, WV, the team that beat Fairmont this year. Bridgeport is one of those 4 or 5 teams I think is a little better than Princeton in AAA ball. If Princeton plays with them or beats them in regular season (they play each other), then that would be major, major progress and suggest a possible semi final appearance before bowing out in the playoffs. Only my opinions. I think the Tigers win 1 game and lose game 2 very close and season finishes in final 8.

Everyone else in WV AAA is just playing for second.
