Smartest hire Coach Palmer ever made. Everyone had to step up there game because Snake brings it every week. It took them to another level.2 points -

Yes, he is a great motivator. Ahmad Bradshaw is volunteering this year and is playing a bigger role with coaching. Graham is lucky to have several good coaches that can motivate players.2 points -
That's sad to hear. From what I've read about him, every team could use a big Mike on the sidelines.2 points

So just sitting here waiting for the Demo derby to begin. There are a lot of nice bleachers here at Tazewell fairground that won’t be used until next year.1 point -

He trained my son from the 8th grade until his senior year. He always treated Brock like one of his own , even though Brock played at Tazewell .He still checks in on Brock at Ferrum . He’s a great trainer but an even better person . Our family thinks the world of Big Mike .1 point -

I think when you look at teams that rarely get out-coached you have to put Graham at the top of the list. Have they been blessed with a plethora of talent over the years? Absolutely, but good talent and poor coaching doesn’t give you 3 titles in 5 years IMO. I think King William in 2021 and Radford in 2023 are the only times where I felt like Graham was truly out coached, especially in the 2nd half of both games.1 point -
If Union can diversify, as many of you said, look out! I really have no clue about what else they have returning because of how much they lived and died by Chandler and Bostic runs. Graham could make things happen occasionally through the air last season, but their bread and butter was running as well. Graham’s skill guys to me made bigger impacts at DB, rather than WR. I think the 1-2 punch of Lilly and Palmer is just as good on the ground as Union. I say all this to say that neither one winning the region would surprise me. The bigger surprise would be if one of them didn’t.1 point

Hindsight, a mistake of epic proportions 😂. I still remember the @$$ whopping GMen gave Richlands in the regular season in 2018. If I recall the story correctly (as told to me by someone else not Snake or any of the boys) , some of the players told Snake that they were going to win that game for him.1 point -
I still can't believe that Richlands let him go.1 point

I think the most pivotal thing from 2018 was the addition of Snake to the coaching staff. Tony has brought in some others on staff since then and complied one of the best staffs this side of the state. I do hate Big Mike isn’t there because he was electric and a great motivator. I honestly think a lot of teams in SWVA have pretty decent staffs.1 point -

Princeton in my opinion might have the best coaching staff in our area as a whole. Hot take is Craig Co doing awesome things within their limitations. Also, gotta give credit to Narrows.1 point -

Absolutely cannot overlook the talent that Graham has had since 2018. Multiple P5 recruits. That does make coaches look better than they are sometimes. The one thing I see in Graham that I don't see in other teams is how much they improve as the season progresses. Come playoff time, they are like a machine. Look at how many regular season games, with Union, that were very close only to blow the Bears out in the playoffs. This isn't taking anything away from some of the other staffs in the area. You can be great and still lose to someone better.1 point -
