Just my opinion having lived in the Roanoke/Botetourt area for a decade. 
Harless runs a tight ship. He doesn't tolerate outside noise. He's a disciplinarian. His program will speak with one voice....his!!!  I don't foresee him allowing spectators or 73 assistant coaches on the sidelines. He's as close to a throwback to the 80's football coach as this area will have in this day and age. He'll win state championships at Union if the locals get out of his way and let him do his thing. 
Will they? Time will tell but changes will take place. Whether the locals like it or not.

Most impressive performance for me would be Strasburg winning the 2A state championship in dominating fashion while running the ball 58 times and only attempting one pass.

Senior Lauren Bouchard totally dominated the Galax Powderpuff game. She weaved her way through the junior class defense with tremendous athleticism, speed, agility, quickness and precision. It was truly remarkable. 
*Give me a break! Not a lot of football to choose from over here right now.

I don’t ever wanna see the names Strasburg, Armstrong, or Poquoson on this board until they show they can actually compete with a team from the West. Every year people build them up and it ends with the state championship game actually being played in the West Semis

Yes…. There’s a tractor repair shop east of the stadium. The property between the stadium fence and the repair shop is forest like. If you park in the tractor shop lot and walk through the bushes and up the hill you will be at the stadium fence. Dad and I scoped this out years ago for scientific reasons.

Congrats to Glenvar but I hate it for the Bears. I felt like this was finally the year where they would get the gold. For you Region D guys that are more familiar, would you say this was Union’s last shot for some time or could the Bears be back in the semis soon?

Johnston was the QB and Tiquest was just a freak of an athlete. Small kid but one of the most elusive players I’ve watched. I would put him in the same tier as the Mossor kid from Princeton.

Seems like the 2016 Blacksburg team. Started the season 1-4 then realized the talent they actually had and started being smart about it. They finished 5-5 and went on the road and destroyed teams in the playoffs which include Heritage, Phoebus, and Staunton River in the championship.
