  1. M7 boys seeds are complete and updated in the OP.
  2. Yeah, it is a little strange, but pretty sure it was like that last year also now come to think of it. 2D girls was at Richlands and 2D boys was at Graham I believe.
  3. The way I have it listed above...so, yes the winners of the top two games would play and the winners of the bottom two games would play in the semis.
  4. According to someone I asked in the media, 1D girls and boys is at UVa-Wise. 2D girls is at Wise Central, 2D boys is at Gate City.
  5. Girls (semifinals and finals at Wise Central): SWD #1 Virginia High vs. M7 #4 Union M7 #2 Ridgeview vs. SWD #3 Marion SWD #2 Graham vs. M7 #3 Gate City M7 #1 Wise Central vs. SWD #4 Richlands Boys (semifinals and finals at Gate City): SWD #1 Virginia High vs. M7 #4 Ridgeview M7 #2 Union vs. SWD #3 Lebanon SWD #2 Graham vs. M7 #3 Wise Central M7 #1 Gate City vs. SWD #4 Marion
  6. I'm assuming UVa-Wise since it's the Mountain 7 turn to host.
  7. Being there, it was an awesome moment and that coming from a fan of the losers in this situation. Awesome to see a kid have a moment like that. Can't be mad about losing when something like that occurs. Hopefully we can rebound tonight in the season finale against Greeneville and then try to make a run of epic proportions for the third straight year back to the Glass House. Will be a tall order considering we're the bottom seed in the district tournament.
  8. Wise Central's girls didn't fare too well when they came to the TAC a couple weeks ago, maybe the Gate City boys will have a similar fate on Saturday when they pay a visit. Gate City did beat Boone pretty handily though last week, and Boone beat us both times, so I'm not holding my breath.
  9. Once had official visits to Ohio State, Penn State, Tennessee among others... now relinquished to an NAIA school. Glad he's getting a chance somewhere, but so much potential wasted is a shame.
  10. Abingdon is not class 2.... Ridgeview fans will be quick on the button to tell you that. Lol
  11. Pretty sure this happened several years ago with Richlands, Graham and someone else. They do some kind of drawing and the two "losers" of the drawing play each other. Loser of that game is the #3 seed in the district tournament. Winner of that game plays the "winner" of the drawing to determine the automatic region bid and #1 district tournament seeding. Both of these games would take place at a neutral site.
  12. Mountain 7 hosts Region 2D this year I believe, so it'll be at UVa-Wise. My pick is Gate City will win the region.
  13. They beat us at their barn by 5 earlier in the season. So, we split the season series. It's hard to win games out of state. Different style of officiating. Looney is the one who really did the damage to us in both games. I think playing West Ridge between the two meetings with Central helped us quite a bit. West Ridge has two 6'3 girls and a 6'4.
  14. Lol. Didn't bicker at them any best I could tell. Yelled at his players a couple times but not the refs.
  15. D-B dominated Central from start to finish and won 53-45. Led by as many as 16. McAmis ended up being the leading scorer with Looney but was held to only two in the first half, both from the free throw line and was 0-12 from the field.
  16. What about Rax? Harlan, Kentucky still has one of those. May have to stop in if I get up to Harlan County to watch a game in their barn this season.
  17. The man being referenced above is Edwards at Castlewood, formerly worked under Tiller at Ridgeview, I'm pretty certain.
  18. I'll see Central both Saturday and Monday (against Ridgeview and Dobyns-Bennett). Ridgeview has had more success against Central than anyone, but that was with Frazier coaching. Will be interesting to see if Robinette can have that same kind of success.
  19. Maybe the TSSAA refs won't be so intimidated on Monday when Central comes to the TAC... I can only hope anyway. Lol
  20. I missed the first half since I didn't get off work till 5 but yeah, what I saw it wasn't pretty at all.
  21. Some games actually got in yesterday! Notably, I was at Abingdon and Ridgeview where the Ridgeview girls suffered their first Mountain 7 loss and the boys lost as well: Girls: Abingdon 46, Ridgeview 43 Wise Central 68, John Battle 40 Richlands 51, Tazewell 43 Rural Retreat 53, Holston 22 Patrick Henry 43, Northwood 16 Virginia High 41, Lebanon 36 Boys: Wise Central 51, John Battle 49 Rural Retreat 54, Holston 53 Abingdon 59, Ridgeview 51 Patrick Henry 77, Northwood 36 Tazewell 76, Richlands 56 Chilhowie 64, Johnson County (TN) 54 George Wythe 76, Honaker 48 Virginia High 60, Lebanon 53 Tri-Cities Christian (TN) 70, Hidden Valley 52
  22. It was a promising season until.... Honaker put over 50 on you in the first half in the first game of the season. Then it went to hell in a hand basket. Lol
  23. The Flores girl from upper east Tennessee started in the David Crockett system, transferred to Daniel Boone before her freshman season, transferred to Knoxville Catholic before the start of this her sophomore season, and now just this week has transferred back to Boone and is eligible to play for Boone beginning tomorrow.
  24. Abingdon/Ridgeview and Battle/Central both have been called off. Abingdon and Ridgeview are now next Thursday. Even Dobyns-Bennett and Science Hill postponed tonight and Tennessee schools rarely postpone games. Not sure if Gate City/Union is still on or not.
