I’m only referring to one particular school. Others may not be making vaccinated kids quarantine.

I would think the same. I think they’re even making vaccinated kids quarantine.

I get better safe than sorry but Graham seems to overkill quarantine according to current CDC guidelines. They’re wearing masks all day. Is it even face to face contact for more than 15 minutes. I don’t think sitting near someone when both people are masked really constitutes mass quarantine but I’m no expert. If it’s that bad, why isn’t school shutdown at this point? What are the guidelines for Tazewell County? Are they being applied consistently at all schools? Of course, us keyboard warriors aren’t privy to all the details as far as positive tests, etc. I do believe it feels as though since this started last March, we kind of made it up as we go.

Maybe you have them lower because they played Grundy; no offense to the Golden Wave but they’re a wrestling school. Football has been on a downward trend for them but maybe it’s taken an upturn.

Hopefully, that’s just being proactive but Bluefield is at a definite advantage with school not being in session yet, maybe Tazewell County should have opted for post Labor Day start.

I hope it’s a barn burner, down to the wire. I don’t see either team winning by a substantial margin but like always, I could be wrong.

I hope you're wrong on this one. I doubt it would be rescheduled. There's only so many weeks in a season. I'd say they'd be hard pressed to find a date that would work since they have other games to play.

I don’t even mind if it’s a one point difference as long as Graham has that one point. It may come down to which team has the least amount of starters quarantined.

Any list for speed has to include Bradshaw, the one TD run against Abingdon, it looked like the defenders were standing still.

No clue but truthfully, he wasn’t even in much contact with our varsity yet they still had to quarantine.

Last year when Graham had a positive case over the weekend after playing Tazewell. Tazewell didn’t have to quarantine, only Graham.

One of many teams that will most likely suffer that fate this year. After last spring, I’d rather deal with it now than the week before playoffs. Hopefully, it runs its course early in the season & football has some semblance of normalcy by mid-season into the playoffs.

I’m not sure the VHSL can withstand another fall football season shutdown. I’d say they’re financially strapped right now due to previous shutdown & abbreviated seasons. Football (as normal as possible) is needed for many reasons. Coaches & (parents) should encourage kids who don’t feel well to stay at home for a week, lots of problems solved that way as far as getting the season in this year.

I hate for the boys in green. Been there, done that in the spring right before playoffs & it stinks. I don’t see why an entire team needs to quarantine if just one kid tests positive but that’s just me. It seems overly extreme
