Brian Harmon is as good as they come when it comes to getting the best out of his players. Sort of like this year's Graham team, you can never count them out. They have some very good shooters, good guard play. Some size underneath (although a little slow) and a good full court press, when they choose to. Very similar to Graham's team. I think they are a better free throw shooting team then Graham and Graham is a little better disrupting plays on the defensive side, but not by much. Should be a good one.

Should be a very good game. Two teams that are fundamentally sound and very well coached. Brian Harmon vs. Todd Baker is a matchup of 2 coaches with a lot of knowledge of x's and o's. Can't wait to see how this plays out.
-
Well, speaking of moving on. I'm hopping over to the Floyd vs. Graham thread. This re-hashing of "Men behaving badly" is getting old.
-
Could be their resource officer...
-
No more excuses for bad behavior..... Yeah, those dudes did a good job. Fun to listen to.
-
Lol...I'll take Floyd in OT
-
Game will be at Radford University. Not sure the tipoff time yet
-
No decision yet on game time

His foot was definitely on the line. I thought he hit the 3 at first, but rewound and watched it again and there is no question it was a 2 pointer. Good call by the ref.
-
Well said and lose by 40, if they're lucky. Fan behavior seems to be getting worse and worse all the time. They could do like Martinsville did a few years back and not allow fans to watch the games. Then, maybe, just maybe they would act a little more like an adult at the ball games All of this over a bunch of kids playing a game....smh
-
That would be awesome.
-
Not sure. It's unfortunate either way.
-
Yeah....out of a cracker jack box..... But seriously, I would still get a ring and put on it..."True State Champions".

I'd say things were greatly exaggerated. As for the beginning of the game. Floyd County was lining up for the National anthem. The V - High kids kept shooting (over top of the Floyd players). I didn't see any Bullying, whatsoever, just kids lining up for the anthem, while others ignored instructions and kept shooting ... even while their own coaches, and refs were trying to send them to their bench. Some of the Facebook comments are ridiculous. I implore all of you to watch the game. I commend the administrators of Floyd County for stepping in and preventing something that could have been much worse, initiated by players behaving poorly and a fan of V High going onto the court to confront the refs. Blame Floyd all you want, but V High needs to take accountability for their own actions I have been to many, many sporting events at Floyd County and have never experienced anything close to what some are describing, so I have my own doubts about these claims. (Not saying they are false..) However, if comments were made, that is not condonable either. Regardless, there is no excuse for going onto the court during a game and putting hands on a ref, regardless of what anybody is saying or how they are acting. Anyway, there are 2 sides to every story, I suppose.
-
Sorry, got distracted by the fiasco on the court at the end of that one and started posting in the wrong thread ....lol. Graham vs Floyd should be a great game. 2 well coached teams facing off.
-
Totally agree.
-
That coach has no control of that team or his own emotions. Exhibited numerous times this season.
-
Agree. They got away with it all year long. It bit then when it meant the most. Not at all feeling sorry for them.
-
Ok. After going back and watching it again. #2 was running his mouth at the ref, got a technical. Then #5 stepped in to add his 2 cents and got another technical. That was his 5th foul, so he fouled out. As the refs gathered at mid court...a very large V High fan comes after the referees. In defense of the coaches, I believe they were trying to help get the guy off of the court. After that, it was a little chaotic and hard to follow. Floyd took their team off of the court while all of this was going on.
-
Also, shout-out to an old friend of mine, Mr. Barry Hollandsworth (Principal at Floyd) for looking out for the safety of the people there and quickly taking back control. Barry is first class all the way and he won't take any nonsense
-
Landon Lee gets a technical. V High bench runs into the court. Not sure what happened ...Floyd County took their team into the locker room. V High was acting a fool, it appeared. The game has been called. Floyd County wins!! Well, don't have to deal with their nonsense again. 57-52 is the final.

He's coming to return the Blue Tornado back to it's glory days. On a serious note. I doubt he's going anywhere

Graham wins 66-51 Floyd and V High headed to Overtime, tied at 50.
