Graham girls can't hit the side of a barn tonight. They have missed countless layups and have had several air balls. They may not make the championship game of the district tourney at this rate. The Good news is that Lebanon hasn't fared much better.

How is the Dales girl? Hadn't heard anything since the game against V - High after that ridiculous takedown. Also, why is V-High making Graham and Lebanon play in the 8:00 game tonight?

Can somebody ask the folks at Lebanon to put the Graham's d V high game on NFHS?

Whoever it ends up being, I hope they try to build character and sportsmanship first and x's and o's 2nd. Of course, I would hope that for any team....

Who knows what the fallout will be.

I don't think they have even made a decision yet. I guess we can all speculate. Whoever it is, I hope it's a good fit.

They return a couple of running backs in D. Viney (got injured early in the season). He's a small guy, but has good speed and is an elusive running back. Also returning Walker Patterson and Cole Price at WR, the younger McDonald kid could play RB and WR. They have most of the line back on both sides of the ball, they are big and with the right conditioning program, could be hard to deal with. I can see a power run game being successful. Even running a wildcat sometimes like Graham does, loading up an extra lineman in the backfield or something. Who knows what the new coach would bring, but with the big guys returning. I think the more conservative, the better.

Bingo. With what they have returning, that would make a lot of sense.

The new logo is in the middle of the new turf field, not likely to happen.

Played his heart out. He was cramping up the last few minutes. I think V High and Graham are clearly the best 2 teams in region D. It'll come down to those 2, I think. Graham lacks a big man, but Blake Graham and Cambel Fix can jump through the roof, which makes up for it. They could use a big body underneath, though.

They are losing Isabelle, Hill, Graham ,Floyd, Hendricks and Edwards (All Starters) and all would individually be big losses for any team, let alone collectively. They are also losing Brody Sharpe who was a starter before being injured late in the season, Isaiah Pruett Saunders, who contributed on special teams and as a backup RB. Kevin Jones who only played his senior season at Graham, after transferring from Blacksburg, but he contributed quite a bit at Defensive End also. There will be a lot of roles to fill for Graham this upcoming year. I feel that Kaden Banks, A.J. Bradshaw, Deion Cooper will step up in place of Floyd, Edwards and B. Graham, but they are still young. I expect G Palmer to have a big year at running back, Fix at receiver and Malachi Elick to step into a bigger role at receiver also. It'll be hard to replace Hill and Isabelle on that defensive side of the ball. Most of the line returns, so we shall see how the G-men fare.

This upcoming season may be the best chance to beat Graham for a while.

I agree. I have had this same thought for several years. It's harder to shoot if you're not used to it because of the difference in depth perception. Graham, in particular, doesn't seem to shoot as well at the Armory either

Graham 69 Marion 40 It was 38-8 at half. Reserves played quite a bit.

Graham beat Tazewell 87 to 38. They are athletic and smother you with the full court press. Multiple players can get to the basket or pull up and shoot the three. Very good team.

Does Central do NFHS?
